On our last night of three in Paderborn we found this Italian gem. The grilled vegetable antipasto was a delicious start. Then the creamy salmon rigatoni was rich and buttery with a perfect texture in the pasta. This neighborhood gem with charming manager and staff topped other Italian restaurants in our evenings in Zurich and Luzern and equalled our meals in Paris this trip.

Between modern and elegant, our restaurant First Floor offers you a pleasant setting for your pleasure. On the first floor - a little bit above the everyday life - you have a good view over the western wall and the promenade. Only a few steps or our eleva
The restaurant was in the Hotel Arosa where I was staying. It was nice, but not outstanding. It was a good value for the money and I would visit it again.

We had some difficulty finding this Italian restaurant because we overlooked the covered Rathauspassage thinking it was a mere shopping gallery. Once seated, next to a glass antipasti counter, we were struck by the disconcerting (but rather typically German) contrast between the fancy-looking interior, suitable for fine dining, and the menu mainly offering a limited choice of basic and cheap Italian dishes like lasagne, pasta and pizza you would never find in a restaurant of this style in Italy. On a Friday evening the place was packed with a slightly posh clientele. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and tagliatelle Bolognese. The pizza was small and tasted so-so. It was the first time ever we saw carrots on a vegetarian pizza. The tagliatelle were nothing special either. But the Italian red wine we had - Nero dâAvola and Barbera dâAlba - was excellent and kept us happy.

Even being in Paderborn so many times, I have never had the chance to go in this Greek restaurant ... that was a very nice and extraordinary opportunity to check and taste the octopus, cheese, some nice Uruguayan meet and a slice of a Tomahawk! I repeated in the same week ! Well recommended definitively !

We arrived here whilst a few members of staff were setting up the outdoor seating. We sat ourselves down and asked for some English menus. After waiting for 5 minutes, and seeing that the waitress we asked was still outside watching chairs and tables get arranged.. We asked again. When the waitress still did not move for another 5 minutes we walked around to look for some ourselves. Everything after this point was great. The food was outstanding, and we were all very satisfied with what we ordered.

Definitely a must go to place to eat. Small, but cosy it and family run, it is very family orientated. The food was fantastic. I had the peppered steak, and my husband the Pasta. Massive portions. Will definitely use again.

We visited this typical German biergarten just because of the garden itself, set near the river Pader, right in the center of the town, opposite the better in terms of food Deutsches Haus. Beer is ordered at a separate 'haus' in the corner of the garden, and food is ordered to a waiter. Food comes really fast, and is therefore not very good. I tried different things at my two visits - a schnitzel and Bavarian Leberkaese, and both were not very tasty. However, beer was good, service too, and above all - the environment. The premise can welcome several hundreds of people, so it is a nice place for company events.

The Baltasar is Paderborn's Fine Dining restaurant. The chef owned a Michelin star and the food as well as service and location are excellent. Prices are high but qual to the quality.

I liked this restaurant for the decorations, the good beer on tap and the good cuisine. I tied the Gypsy schnitzel - a dish I tried before in Munich, but here it was much better. Would return to this restaurant if I stay in Paderborn again. The restaurant is in the center, in a walking distance to all major cities in this city. A possible problem could be that the kitchen closes early enough - at 21:50 we were told to order fast, if we want to be served ...

I had the 300g fillet steak, medium rare. It literally melted in the mouth. I only had one beer, but there was some really nice wines on the menu. However I didnât get to try any. Staff really friendly too.
