Love this place. Great atmosphere and the food and service is outstanding. My favorite place fit outdoor dining in Kaiserslautern. Great selections of German and European cuisine. Love the schnitzels and wild boar dishes

Popped in for lunch after enjoying the weekend market. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I ordered the Eisbein pork Knuckle which came with a huge dollop of mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. I enjoy my food as well as the beer.

This restaurant has interesting interior and very comfortable and quiet Biergarten. Staff speaks perfectly English and is very friendly, service is fast. Flammkuchen is Flammkuchen, nothing more, nothing less. I couldn't complain. I enjoyed evening there and I am sure I will come back.

So disappointed tonight, highly recommended this restaurant to our friends visiting from the US... got vinegar wine.... did not drink itâasked for a different wine and explained that this was a bad bottle... we weâre still charged full price for 3 glasses! They disagreed with us. Will not return.. very disappointed, despite decent food... definitely never have been the friendliest to Americans... but we overlooked because we liked the food... wonât be returning Dear customer,we are sorry for the inconvenience. But you have to understand, that the wine was not bad, it just wasn't your taste. The three glasses came from two different bottles. Either both of them are bad bottles or none. But as we tried the second bottle ourselves after your complaint, we can assure, that it wasn't a bad bottle. We never had any complaints regarding this wine. If you order wine, you can ask for a small sample before getting a whole glass. We happily bring you a sip of wine to taste, so that such things don't happen. I guess it is understandable that we can't take everything from the bill that someone dislikes as tastes are different.

This restaurant impressed with its fresh herbs, savory sauces and nuanced flavors. The outdoor courtyard seating had a relaxing ambiance. The food had a high end taste but at a reasonable price. The multilingual waiting staff were welcoming and attentive. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant.

Does not get mucn better than this little hide adway in the cross roads town of Otterberg. Well portioned meals with a nice twist on Traditional German fare. Go early and get a fsble along the wall and watch the locals playing cardsnas the world moves zlong at a nice slow pace.

This is a delightful restaurant in the town square in historic Otterberg, Germany. The restaurant is family run. The menus are in German but the servers are friendly and can translate the menu. We generally ordered pizza but the pasta is great too, and the salads are good. This place has lots of room inside but the best place to eat is outdoors during the warm summer months. The father is especially witty and fun. Once when our daughters were visiting, my daughter ordered a beer and he asked if she wanted a big one? She said yes and he brought her a half full 3 L glass boot of beer as a joke! Her sister had to help her drink it. This restaurant sits next to a 10th century church and the restaurant itself was built in the 1700's. There is a fountain in the square where children often play and lots of people just enjoy a beer or wine in the patio. Some reviews complain that the service is slow, but most restaurants in Germany especially in small towns have very few servers. If visiting from the US, initially you may find this annoying, but generally the tables are yours for the entire night, so they expect you to sit and relax. Once you get use to the pace, going back to the US hurried dinners and the turn over of tables, one may find dining not as pleasant as it is in Germany. Also, you must ask for the bill because it is regarded as rude for them to assume you are done by bring you the bill. We will miss this beautiful restaurant as we head back to the states.
