First ate at this restaurant in January, and had such a wonderful meal, I eagerly returned in February. On both occasions, the service was really first class. Very attentive, friendly and efficient. We were all given a complimentary small tapas before our first course arrived. We then had a tapas starter, and I had the Argentinian fillet steak, cooked as I like it, rare. The roasted vegetables I had to accompany the steak were delicious, and a generous portion. I would highly recommend this warm and friendly restaurant.

Had dinner here with a group recently, and had an enjoyable evening. The service was excellent and very attentive. The food was so so, nothing special, and quite expensive. I had the rump steak madagascar, which came with a baked potato which was alright, but I think microwaved as the skin wasn't oven baked and the sour cream too sweet. The steak was fine, but not delicious, but cooked how I had ordered it - rare. The flavoured butter it came with was either straight out of the freezer or fridge and rock hard so did not melt on the steak.

The staff is of outstanding helpfulness, knowledge about food and drink and highly attentive. every member is knowledge about all of dining, not only specialized members of staff.And they don't hesitate to ask and deliver highly competent answers. Ameuse gueule is served before the menu is handed over. We were refused entrance even after having received a confirmation of our reservation. Reason: we complained about their bad responsiveness. The lady just: you should read our email which the apparantly did send after confirming our reservation. An email which must have ended up in the spam box. Then just left us standing on Boxing day without food!

My wife and me went to the Inizio are really liked it. It's run by the appretices of the next door Sonnenalp. You really feel that they like what they do and have that special enthusiasm about it. The food was good with two minor issues (the bruchette soaked by the salat dressing and a little saltyness in the sauce) but we really enjoyed the evening and will come back once we are in that area.have a go and see yourself

The restaurant is located in a hotel of which the exterior is more traditional Bavarian. However, the restaurant is modern and attractive. The menu has something for everyone: meat, fish and veggie. Not even a year since the opening, only 12 weeks in Tripadvisor and already voted the best restaurant in Sonthofen. Astounding that so many people all at once decided to give Yamas 5 points! The food is excellent; this lady knows how to cook. She manages to give the original greek dishes her special touch and they really do taste much better than many standard versions. Even the simply grilled meat dishes are absolutely perfectly prepared. This location was, for a long time, the very good german restaurant Germania. They closed and a couple of others tried their luck unsuccessfully. In the meantime after stages of renovation, Yamas looks really fine, bright and clean. Parking is a problem, but the Sonthofen underground car park is only a couple of hundred meters away. Well worth a try. Better to reserve a table and even if you have to wait a while when the kitchen is overwhelmed, its worth it. We have visited Yamas probably 5 or six times and the food was always well above average.
