The town is located in the middle of Denmark, just south of the city of Aarhus and is often affectionately described by its inhabitants as "the heart of Denmark". Odder is served by Odder railway station on the 26.5-kilometre (16.5 mi) Odderbanen railway line which connects the town and other towns in the municipality to Aarhus. The railway line is known as Oddergrisen ("The Odder Pig"). The original A/S Hads-Ning Herreders Jernbane railway line was established in 1884.

Stedet ligger i en smuk gammel bygning og selvom indretningen er moderne supplerer den bygningen. Vi fik fisketapas og lakse salat og begge dele kom hurtigt og var veltillavede. Der var en velassorteret vinliste - faktisk større udvalg end på menuen.

Hungry and eager to find somewhere for an early evening meal, we happened to pass Bondehuset. It didn't look particularly special, but it was tastefully decorated, busy, the waitress/owner was very friendly (but spoke no English - no criticism there, as I speak no Danish!), we managed to work out the Danish-only menu, and the prices looked reasonable. We had the plaice (three fillets!) stuffed with prawns, and the wienerschnitzel. Both were absolutely superb and the portions were extremely generous. We would wholeheartedly recommend!

Just returned from eating at Hos Mulle Pizzeria. One word sums it up....EXCELLENT! Friendly, good value. My husband is French. I am American and frankly, its the best pizza I've had in Europe and the Dough/crust (pate) is SUPERB! Thank you for the great service on a busy night just before the Denmark - Croatia playoff game !

The food is excellent, "interesting setting": You sit in a tent overlooking the sea in a storm! But it is heated.However its absolutely not fair on staff (or guest) to let a young girl loose as server, when she obviously recieved absolutely NO TRAINING in either the menu nor the way you serve food, and clear tables.

I really enjoyed my salmon&prawns patty shell (tartelet), and my family really enjoyed their traditional ones, with chicken&white aspargus. The puff pastry was light and delicious, absolutely nothing to do with anything you've tried from a store.I do not recommend their hot dogs (âVarme hundeâ) though. The dough was dull, and to be honest, we felt cheated with that dish. It looked huge in the picture, but then it looked more like a lizzard than a "dog" when we ordered it. It was seriously small. Cute concept, but not worth 55 DKK at all. The desserts are quite filling. Their citronfromage is better than their chocolate mousse, and it is also a very traditional Danish dish.We appreciated that they were nice and attentive despite the fact that they were understaffed and therefore got quite busy.I won't post too many pictures of the place because I think that visitors should have the opportunity to discover it themselves, just like I did.The idea of giving free tickets to their krolf field when you purchase "tartaletter+dessert" is brilliant. We had so much fun.

Cozy little place in an old barn. The food is very good, but the pricing is somewhat high. But all-in-all the food, beverages and ambience is 5*. The only reason, that I only give 4*, is that they only accept Dankort (national Danish credit card), and does not accept MasterCards. This is an absolute must in the tourism and hospitality industry. I can only wonder how they'll let foreigners pay, if they only have foreign credit cards?Hi Lennart,Thankâs for visiting our restaurant and the 4 Stars review. We are glad you had a good experience and hope to see you back soon.The 5th star will never happen why we by choice do not accept master and never will.Reason being that im doing all my financial accounting my selv and I cant wait arround for up to 4 weeks to get my money.Foreigners are told when they book or arrive and yes we do loose some guests that way!But not enougf to pay a proffesional accountant :-)

Its a real treat to find such a wonderful restaurant in North Jutland's countryside... The decor is more on the "traditional side"-- and this adds to the overall ambience. The variety of dishes- either for lunch or dinner- is very broad. Most tables with guests had different dishes and everyone-especially us- were enjoying the food and the restaurant's service! While not on the trail of most travellers-- it is well wothy of a visit.I hope that this Review has been helpful!

If you like your stjerneskud simple and fresh, this is the place to go. White fish, breaded fish, some shrimps, some dressing and salad, large pieces of white asparagus on white toast. You sit on comfortable outdoor "sofas" of bolted-together wooden pallets as you watch boats sail by. Life is good.The only drawback - there is a very limited selection of wines. But one should have a beer with stjerneskud anyway. Life is still good as you enjoy the summer sun tempered by the cool breeze.
