The food here was good, I wouldn't say it was anything spectacular, but if you are looking for a decent meal in Eberbach that you can pay for with credit card, this is one of the few. If the weather is nice, I definitely recommend eating outdoors, it is in the middle of the town and a very nice environment.

Just as Hirschhorn was kind of a surprise to us, this restaurant was unexpectedly good. The little town itself is a true gem along the river Neckar with a nice castle from where we've had a breathtaking view over the area.Das Kartoffelhaus, which means potato house, is on the centre of Hirschhorn, but a bit tucked away behind other restaurants. It looks typically German on the inside (clean, staccato, boring), but it has some nice tables on the sidewalk as well.We had the salad from the day menu, a potato(?) pizza and a spaghetti with prawns. The salad was fresh and tasty and without the usual mayonnaise-based dressing as so common the case in Germany. The pizza was on the hearty/heavy side, but good. Moreover, the spaghetti was quite delicious: copious amount of garlic and fine olive oil, mussels and king prawns. Not sure if an Italian would call this genuine spaghetti, but it was 'lecker' and that is all that counts. The service was OK as well as the bill. 45 Euro including two glasses of mineral water for lunch is not exactly a bargain, yet quite standard in this region.
Sehr gemütliche Athmosphäre mit schönen Spielplatz für Kinder und liebevoll gestalteten Ambiente. Essen ist lecker und die verschiedenen Aktionen geben dem ganzen immer wieder was besonderes.

This restaurant is located in a nice country setting. But once you get inside Everything feels depressingly old.The decor, the furnitue and worst of all - the menu. It´s like choosing stright of of a meny from the 1960´s.And once you get the food it looks and tastes like something from the era.The guests were almost all very old , so maybe the restaurant has found the right touch, but...Service was slow and staff inattentive. The only modern bit was the price.

The food is delicious, probably one of the tastiest meals I've had in Germany. The atmosphere in the garden is marvelous.

Cosy typical German restaurant. Nice food, reasonably priced and very friendly service. The menu has some typical Odenwald dishes. Portions are large. They have also have children menu's (approx. eur 6) and give crayons to draw. They have a monthly agenda with special grillbuffet in Beergarden, Oktoberfest, Beer & Dine etc. Check out their website. The terrace has a nice view on the palace. Many shops around.

This beautiful building is the home of a wonderful restaurant which is very popular with local people, particularly on Sundays. It is, apparently, the oldest in Eberbach. The menu includes plenty of choices for a variety of diets including vegetarians. Despite there being only one member of staff waiting on tables, service is quick, relaxed and friendly. The wine list includes several local choices by the glass or by the bottle. There's also a decent beer selection and plenty of choice of digestifs. Prices are low, notwithstanding the high quality of the offer. There are several nice places to eat in Eberbach but it is really hard to ignore this place!

Nice restaurant on the first floor with a view over the river Mümling. Michel's serves regional cuisine, including Schnitzel and game. The food was nice and the service attentive.

The picturesque little town of Michelstadt in the Odenwald is remarkably well provided with restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars. We liked the look of the Rathausbraeu. In keeping with the rest of the town it looked like a traditional German pub-restaurant. We sat down at one of the tables outside and were not disappointed. We had an excellent lunch there. The food is traditional German:we had a pork steak and a venison goulash and beer to drink. It was good value and service was good too. We would be happy to go back on a future visit.
