We at Housel Bay are lucky enough to be located in the most southernly tip of Cornwall, where itâs rich with fresh Cornish produce right on our door step. In our hotel, we have three places to eat and drink. We have The Terrace, which offers Lunch, Aftern
I popped in for a welcome drink on the coastal path walk. It is a magical place with wonderful views of the sea looking towards the lizard. Extensive menu and friendly staff

Modern Bistro run by 2 chefs, Leonie & Neil Woodward. Michelin guide since 2009. Cornwall finalist restaurant of the year 2016. Fresh fish, local rare breed meat, local vegetables make up the weekly menu. Some Sunday lunches.
We have tried to get in before. You won't get in without booking a table. This place is rather small, so seating is limited. The menu is limited, but superb, creative, and beautiful. I had a crab paté as a starter that was fantastic and beautiful. My main was broiled sea scallops that were perfectly cooked. We splurged and split a dessert consisting of rhubarb, Chantilly cream, custard, meringue, and ginger. How eye-catching. I want to go again!

New exciting cafe created and run by Carl and Rachel Grove Also a fantastic studio space accommodating many lifestyle activities.
The Grove has a relatively simple menu which packs some real flavour punches. There are great soups, quiches, salads and daily specials on offer with a real seasonal flavour. The cakes are far too tempting to resist and the savoury scones are exceptional. Everything is freshly prepared using local and ethically sourced ingredients. Great if you are looking for really good gluten free or vegan food. Fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate are served. A review does not do this cafe justice. You really do need to try it. Booking is essential for lunchtimes.

The Cutty Sark has an informal pub style dining area on the upper level as well as more formal restaurant on the ground floor that is also available for private party hire.
I booked a table by phone and was surprised to find the Pub restaurant almost empty. We were worried whether this was because the food was not up to much but were in for a surprise. The roast lamb with vegetables we ordered was lovely and rich, very tasty.Quite a different experience from other Sunday roasts in town recently, which haven't been up to scratch one way or another, from lukewarm or uncrispy roast potatoes or swimming in gravy. We found out later that the Pub had only just restarted offering Sunday lunches.Definitely worth another visit or two.

Excellent tasty beautifully presented inventive food for supper. One of the best desserts I have ever had, strawberry ice cream covering fig leaf sorbet with hazelnuts, and fresh strawberry pieces. Couldnât recommend more highly. Lovely friendly staff. Thank you for this great review. I'm definitely going up to try this pudding now!

A great evening in a beautiful restaurant with a great ambience.Great local food. We enjoyed the pork belly and steak. As a group we tried a variety of desserts including the brownie, ginger pudding, creme brulee and the chesse board. All were first class.Lovely to be offered the local Cornish gin.

What an amazing find of a restaurant tucked away in a small Cornish village. This is London quality food and service in a charming location over looking the harbour. There were two fantastically priced set menus to choose from, with some flexibility between the two menus.Four of us had a fantastic evening with the most amazing food cooked to perfection. My friend was particularly impressed with the blue cheese ice cream.Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We joined our two friends staying at this hotel for dinner. Beautiful hotel, fabulous location. Sadly the restaurant was more like a family room/canteen, families and noisy children, I appreciate that this is the core business these days but it would be nice to have somewhere for people without children to eat in a quieter location. The food and service were average, one of the food items was not available but we were not advised of this until the rest of the food arrived, some mistake when taking the order evidently, regardless of it being read back. Chips were offered instead. One of the service staff seemed to spend lots of time eating behind the service station, is this allowed? I have been to this hotel many times it's lovely but I believe it has changed and not in a good way. Us older patrons are being ignored, so will have to go somewhere else to spend our money
