Experience the flavours of Portugal @Ceiceira Tasting Lounge in Monchique. Guided tastings of unique small-producer Portuguese wines, along with wine flights and wine by the glass & bottle. Delicious tapas made from scratch with love & local ingredients.
The idea is to combine Tapas with local wine options. The owner is a vintner graduate and has attracted the interest of local wineries. Their wine tasting option is quite inexpensive coupled with a meal and the owner gives in depth information about the wines. The Tapas has a limited selection of ready options but also allows you to design your own Tapas.Price was good but many more clients needed to make it a success following its opening in late August 2019.

Came here 40 years ago and the peri peri chicken just as I remembered. Fantastic position with outstanding views. Plenty of parking. Very reasonably priced, lovely staff. Will not leave it as long before next visit, so happy it is still going and doing well.

We couldn't ask for anything more from somewhere to eat on holiday. It has spectacular views down the valley, terrific staff and delicious food. We ate here twice during our stay and everything we had was delicious. It's the third year we've been here and the food is consistently good. It wasn't that busy but to get a table outside you do need to book ahead. It's a perfect holiday restaurant.

Was recommended this restaurant by our apartment owner, and we was not disappointed! After visiting Mount Foia we stopped at this place for a late lunch. With excellent views over Portimao, we had the chicken peri peri, which was so tasty. One word of warning, we ordered for two but had enough to feed a small army, however was given our leftovers in a bag to enjoy again. Prices are very reasonable, a little hidden gem

You could walk pass this cafe if the doors are not open. However don't miss out on the soup or carrot cake. Couple next to us enjoyed a Portuguese style BLT which they raved about. An extra touch was the timer that arrived with the pot of tea, not to time how quickly you can drink it but to let the tea brew properly to enjoy. How considerate is that?Narrow street for parking.

Taverna with a weird name, far out in the Montchique forests surprises with great food and very nice atmosphere!Menu is composed of real local specialties, prepared with love and available at âsymbolicâ cost, the place is definitely worth a detour! Itâs about an hours drive from the touristic hell of the Algarve south coast but really worth the trip so if you are looking for something different from the beach side restaurants in Albufeira and Portimão, head north, you will not be disappointed!
