Reviews on European food in Mogan, Canary Islands, Spain. This resort area on the southern part of Gran Canaria has a laid-back, upscale vibe. You’ll find crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling, a network of canals (which gave the town the nickname “Little Venice”), and a number of restaurants and bars along the pretty beach.

My Wife and I went shopping to Mogán on our recent holiday and while we were strolling around on the way to get a taxi home we just passed this restaurant and felt we had to sample the cuisine ! Wow was this a fantastic decision . We had a fabulous bottle of red . I had the black Aengus steak which was cooked to perfection and my wife had a prawn pasta dish and to say this food was exquisite is an understatement . The chef owner explained how he cooked everything and all in all it was one of those evenings that just turned out to be really special . I will return again and will recommend to clients and friends every chance I get 10/10 . It may be perceived as a little pricey but is actually cheap for the standard of food and service .

The food at Los Guayres is as good as ever but the choice is now limited to three tasting menus which is great if you are looking for a special one off dining experience. If however, like us, you enjoy dining at the restaurant on a few occasions during your holiday then there are now just too many courses to wade through. Please bring back the a la carte menu!!!A special mention for Mari Pino and the staff who are always friendly, attentive and provide exceptional service.

Clearly popular little eatery that also serves two large beers for 3 EUR by far the best price we've found. On a busy road with cars barreling straight through the charming little town but no bother as this operation seems guaranteed to offer a pleasant gastronomic experience and is a super little spot to dwell with a drink.

It's perfectly situated in one of the turns of the hilly ride. Easy parking, clean facilities, cute free museum, animals to view, beautiful surroundings, fruits & vegetables on display along with local products to purchase. We had a delicious zumo natural especial juice mix of banana, papaya and orange. Next time we'll remember the location and make sure not to have lunch before our arrival to this lovely, quirky hidden restaurant.

My wife and I booked this restaurant at a recent holiday in Puerto de Mogan. It is tucked away down an almost hidden alleyway. It is squeezed in between "cheaper" shops and restaurants. It is quite a unique restaurant with only one sitting and a fixed 6 course menu. Be aware that I can only seat about 24 people so if you are interested you need to book early. It is quite an expensive experience but we felt it was well worth it. They also provide an option to have matched wines with 5 of the 6 courses. I had this option and the matching was excellent. Our menu started with a trio of lobsters and was followed with a duck dish. Tiger sole was the next course after which we had a basil mojito to cleanse the pallet. All this was building up to the "main event" which was tenderloin of beef. The meal finished with a chocolate based dessert. The food was exceptional but what made this experience so fantastic was the introduction of each course by the maître D. It was a performance which complimented the food so well. For example, take the main dish the beef one. We were first asked how we wanted the beef cooked and then they brought a small individual BBQ burner which they then lit. The lights were then dimmed to accentuate the flames and the streaks were put on the burner. The waiter then returned to ensure the steak was cooked as we wanted it. This was quite a trick as I like mine medium rare and my wife likes it well done. The cost per person was â¬69 for the food and â¬49 for the matching wine. On the face of it this appears to be very high but we thought it was well worth it. When we return to Puerto de Mogan we will definitely return here.

Our restaurant is based on the tasteful Southern Italian cuisine, in particular the flavours of Apulia and Sicily. We strive to serve creative dishes, inspired by the original Italians recipes. A cuisine, known for it's homemade pastas, bread and other pu
Being a former resident of Gran Canaria I've tried many restaurants on the island and I can honestly say ll Gusto is one is the best in the category fine dining restaurants. We enjoyed a 3 course surprise menu and were definitely blown by the quality of the food and presentation of the dishes. Owner and head chef Fabrizio is truly passionate about his food and puts a lot of thought, passion and creativity in the dishes. I highly recommend trying the surprise menu, as it was top notch in taste and flavor. Furthermore I would give the staff an A+ for their outstanding service. Il Gusto offers a phenomenal dining experience that's easily compared to a Michelin level. You're missing out if you don't try Il Gusto!Melissa thank you so much for your visit and this lovely 5 bubble review! We were happy to welcome you and we appreciate you taking the time to write about us on Tripadvisor.See you next time!

The Blue Explorers Bar & Grill is at the heart of the Blue Explorers Resort, on the edge of the pretty little tourist-cum-fishing port town of Puerto de Mogán, on the sunny south west coast of Gran Canaria. This multi award winning team see your pleasure

It is a three course menu, limited but absolutely delicious â¬32 - Starter, main & Desert. The Irish chef Jonathan is fantastic and a really nice guy. Roberto front of house, is very chatty and entertaining, all the staff were lovely. Wish all the restaurants here could have been like this.

Our restaurant is located in an historical village, we have a terrace for 50 customers and our main offer is food from the Canary Islands and many spanish dishes. We also have 6 wekkly specials and we include there many dishes from the chef trips around t
Firstly this restaurant refused to send me a menu in advance - apparently not company policy, which is ridiculous. So you take a risk that it offers food and cooking style that you may or may not like. Secondly the prices shown on the menu once you are there do not include tax (not made clear at all} so when you get the bill that is then added. Never had that from a reputable restaurant before. Thirdly they overcharged for a glass of wine hoping we wouldn't notice. The food is reasonable buit not exceptional and it is so annoying that they behave in this way. Consequently it does not deserve its' high ratings.

Visited last week for Lunch. Service was quite slow at first to the point we nearly walked out but we stuck with it after finally being approached by a very friendly waitress. As for the food. It was shocking. I wouldnt feed the lasagne to a dog. The burger was extremely cheap meat and the toasty was dripping in grease. Disappointing but by the time it came we just wanted out of there. Walked past again and seen the evening food look okay but id definately reccomend avioding the lunch menu and in particular the awful lasagne.

Only two tables to be served at this early lunchhour, even so the wait for four light lunchdishes (including three different salads) was 45 mins! The food was OK, and host and his wife (J&J) was cheerful and nice. But the wait was just to long to get a decent score.
