Things to do in Lovech Province
Sorry, the restaurant does not work long. But he was certainly good. :( :( :( The property can be rented. It can happen again a good restaurant.
The atmosphere of the place was expensive and when we went in, we discovered it was also true. As a couple we were staying in the city a long time and we knew the place was frequented by shady people. While we were sitting there, drinking our overly expensive coffee, a couple had a loud argument and no one paid attention. It was a nasty scene and because of that, I would avoid this place. Otherwise it is nice in the summer as it has these little sprinklers that moisturize the air and make it cool. If you are interested, go one time. The staff is not the nicest, although the seating is quite chic and comfortable. You may regret it, or you may not. Worth giving it a try.
This relatively recenltly opened restaurant is located in the very centre of Pleven. It is actually under the ground and that's why it's plus the fact that it pretends to be a tradional Bulgarian folk restaurant (as interior and cuisine) this venue is called "Starata Izba" (The Old Cellar"). The meals are average as taste and price (the only dishes that I like there are some of their salads), the restaurant desperately needs a better ventilation system, because it gets filled with smoke when there are more smokers in it. There is a live orchestra playing on Friday and Saturday evenings folk music (at least they say so, because it's not traditional folk music at all) but usually they do it so loudly that you cannot hear your neighbour talking... A lot of people go there also to dance during these evenings, but it's a question of musical tastes at the end of the day. My opinion is that you won't miss anything if you don't visit this mediocre in all terms restaurant.
Cosy, warm and friendly pizzeria serving the very best Neapolitan style pizzas fresh from a wood-burning oven.
The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. I'm a vegetarian and there are a lot of things on the menu that I can eat.

We ordered the vegetarian plates and were satisfied with the delicious Bulgarian meal we had. The waiter was nice, didn't speak much English but that was fine. Only thing is that they forgot to bring one plate with also ordered, but that was fine with us as we were full ;)) Recommend.

I've visited Kanape numerous times and I've had a good experience overall. However, tonight I had a horrible experience for the second time. A few months ago, there was a bug in my salad which I didn't get mad about (a discount or a compensation wasn't suggested). Today, there was a problem with my salad and I sent it back. I didn't want a new one and instead, I ordered a portion of zucchini which was half the price of the salad. At the end of the evening, we got the bill and I noticed that the salad is on it, the zucchini is not. I asked the manager why is that, considering I didn't eat the salad + the zucchini is cheaper. Why on earth am I paying more for something I didn't eat?! He was very rude and told me that he can't do anything about it. I am a waitress and I am a regular customer. I find this unacceptable and I believe that this "manager" doesn't have any experience or proper training.

This restaurant, recommended by our hotel, is situated on a nice square (newly brick cobbled) on the edge of the old traditional part of Lovech and a few steps from the very touristy covered bridge, but we found the food rather disappointing. We ordered a Shepherds salad to start and received a very small and unimpressive salad selection with no boiled egg in it (and this salad has included egg in every other restaurant in Bulgaria we have eaten in). If there is one thing Bulgarian restaurants normally excel in, it is huge and beautifully constructed fresh salads, so it was disappointing to be served such a feeble salad.I had a very sloppy Sach dish which tasted a lot better than it looked and my partner ordered fish which came as a rather small portion. The waitress was very inattentive and we were not moved to tip much at all.All in all, we weren't impressed and wouldn't eat there again.
