Dans un décor chaleureux de murs en brique rouge et de verrières lumineuses, le restaurant Le Relais vous invite à un voyage gustatif à la découverte des saveurs du monde. Une cuisine inventive basée sur des produits frais et de saison, privilégiant les c
I found this unprepossessing restaurant almost by accident. Tucked away in the northern Parisien district of Pantin, I had asked advice from a local about places to eat, and Relais was highly recommended. Handy for Metro, Eglise de Pantin, it is the outlet for a school of cookery. The food is of the highest quality, supervised by the instructors and prepared by the students. The prices are significantly lower than one would expect for the class of food offered. The restaurant is fairly unprepossessing in terms of decor but the food more than makes up for this. Clearly there is not a huge menu but what there is on offer is excellent. I was impressed by my meals there and would insist that this is a restaurant never to be missed. It is worth a vast detour. Unparalleled value for money. Especially for the Paris region.

Place to eat, drink and speak
My husband and I came here for dinner during a recent visit to Paris and could not have been happier with our visit. We booked a table for 8pm and were seated straight away by the really friendly waiter (didnât catch his name but was great!). Our French isnât great but this was no problem as he was happy to speak to us in English and spoke it very well. The food was superb, couldnât fault it at all. The portion sizes were good and the quality was brilliant. We had duck and salmon for mains, both perfectly cooked. For dessert we had tart tatin and panacotta, both were very good.Service was excellent throughout the meal even though the restaurant was busy. Booking is essential as the restaurant is only small but very popular, we saw people who turned up hoping to get a table who couldnât and it was only a Tuesday night! Overall our visit here was fantastic! It was a meal we will talk about for years to come and I really hope we get the chance to come back in future. Thanks for a great night! thank you for this beautiful review. It was a pleasureMy name is Nathan ^^. I hope you will come back

This is a small restaurant that focuses on the food and skips the white glove approach. Tables are reasonably spaced, the decor is basic bistro and the service is cordial and efficient. As for the food each dish we had was a treat for the taste buds. The frogs' legs were swimming in a delicious garlic and butter concoction and the duck breast was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. They offer cocktails and a very nice wine list that is reasonable priced. Expect to pay about 50 Euros pp without drinks.

Restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel as we were looking for a place for dinner for a group of 15 without reservation. Martine was a marvellous host, first redesigning the menu for us to avoid long waits, showing us the kitchen and generally entertaining us with her Parisian way. We were an international group and many of us will never forget this special experience. Needless to mention that the food was excellent throughout and we all got individual receipts for our expense claims. May sound weird but this is something the average French waiter refuses to do...

We offer simple, yet sophisticated and elegant fare, created from the freshest products, to delight the eyes as well as the discriminating palate.
We chose this restaurant based on itâs great reviews and were not disappointed. Our server was friendly, professional, and her English was better than my French. Our group chose the salmon, duck, and steak entrees, and one salmon and quinoa starter. All were excellent, with generous portions . Perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented. The desserts we shared, the pistachio crème brûlée and chocolate fondant, were also superb. The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed, in a simple and refined way, and the background music was very enjoyable. We have already recommended this place to friends.

We visit Paris every six months. Fortunately, this restaurant is our highlight. The manager greets us like a family member and always remembers what we ordered six months ago. This evening my wife had escargots followed by shrimp risotto. I ordered avocodo and crab followed but sea bass. The wine pairings supplemented our usual memorable experience.Thank you for your opinion, thank you for your loyaty for more than 5 years ,it is always a pleasure to receive you.See you soon.

Café Jean is an authentic Parisian brasserie! The dishes are fresh and "homemade". Close to the Vilette, Zénith, Philharmonie and the city of music, Café Jean promises a friendly atmosphere, family and transgenerational with a team of care from 8am to 2am
The main advantage of Cafe Jean was being open during the "dead" hours between lunch and dinner, or for us, between museum and concert. I wish we had chosen one of the many multinational eateries in the area, but we opted for French... and got a very so-so meal and service. I got a pork chop (juicy but extremely fatty) with mashed potatoes (which arrived cold and had to be sent back to be microwaved). My husband ordered a Burger Jean, instead of which they first brought him a steak frites by mistake - which probably could have been a better choice, because the burger was supposed to feature sautéed onions, pickles, and more, but had none of these things, only the soupy sauce which made the bun soggy. I would have mentioned the missing accompaniments to the staff, but my husband so dislikes any public disagreements that he asked me not to. We finished our meal quickly - nothing to savor or linger on.

The reviews of this place were top so we walked across the city to be first when they open. To our surprise the place is tiny, maybe 20-30 guests, and was fully booked. I don't blame them for being booked all time, but they should communicate that better. Their website is empty. They shouldn't expect that foreign language tourists would call their French phone number. Writing this review to avoid disappointment with other keen guests.Dear Sir,I would like to clarify a few things about your comment. First of all, I just want you to understand that when you write such a review, you penalize a whole team that works hard every day to satisfy each of our customers. And you do this (2 stars) without having had a meal at our place.Secondly, you mention that you have read a lot of reviews. Lots of them tell on Trip advisor that you need to book, I can list you at least a dozen of them.If you want to book, you can either call us (we all speak English enough to make a reservation), you can also email us or book via Facebook. We do have lots of foreign people every day, and they book their table how they want. As you say, our restaurant is tiny and out of the clasical touristic path, that is why we do need to have a reservation system, especially as our specialty is fish and seafood. And to finish, we keep everyday at least one table for people coming by, maybe you arrived that day after another table coming by.It is hard for us to get such reviews that do penalize the whole restaurant when we did not make mistakes, only the fact that we were fully booked that night.
