Reviews on European food in Leixlip, Province of Leinster, Ireland. Leixlip (/ˈliːkslɪp/ or /ˈliːslɪp/; Irish: Léim an Bhradáin) is a town in north-east County Kildare, Ireland. Its location on the confluence of the River Liffey and the Rye Water has marked it as a frontier town historically: on the border between the ancient kingdoms of Leinster and Brega, as an outpost of The Pale, and today on Kildare's border with Dublin.

Serving Lunch from 12pm with fresh salads, skinny soups and daily hot specials of quiches and pies. The evening menu has all the classic pub favorites including steak on the stone, slow roasted belly of pork with home made desserts such as key lime pie to
Had a family dinner there, first time in Lucan. The interiors were very impressive inside, so we thought the food was going to be even better. However, we were slightly disappointed with just an average taste. Could be better but could be worse. I'd give it 6/10. Great service though!

The menu is huge, and really varied! However most of it is deep fried! I had garlic mushrooms and prawns and they were nice, but would have loved a bit more fresh/poached/grilled options? It is busy, you cannot book a table, the service is friendly!

unfriendly catering staff on today but perhaps we were just unlucky. Floor staff were attentive and well trained. Food was nice so we will return again sometime and perhaps we may even be greeted warmly by the chef and his assistant. The location is good.

Fantastic little restaurant, family run. The homemade bread is to die for (one of the best; similar to Tartine in San Francisco) Highly recommend the lamb, rabbit and cod main courses. Not pretentious, but simply excellently prepared (spices, concentrated sauces and optimally cooked). Small wine list, but good choices at moderate prices.

Lying in the heart of Lucan Village, Reeds on the Riverâs rough-hewn beams, hardwood floors and traditional adornments dispenses an ambiance of warmth and charm. Our culinary team brings together traditional cuisines and modern techniques to provide a tru
The restaurant is attractively laid out over several floors. We were seated in a lovely room at the top floor. The staff obviously take pride in the excellent service they deliver . An interesting menu was offered and what we ordered was beautifully presented . I had perfectly cooked monkfish. The accompanying mash was nice but not outstanding and an additional vegetable would have been welcome. The overall ambiance is relaxing and thereâs a palpable sense of hospitality. Would happily return if in the area again.

We were made welcome immediately and so began a lovely experience. The place is spotless and spacious. The atmosphere is great. The staff are friendly and engaging and professional. The menu is well laid out and they offer Pasta, meat and fish and pizza options. They have 2 beers on draught and I think they should consider adding an Italian beer to their draught list. We really enjoyed our meals very much.I had the pasta Al Diavolo and was was well pleased. I was pleased with the bill. I want to go back again.Hi there,We are delighted you enjoyed your experience with us!As always, we love to get feedback from our customers, and we are looking forward to serving you again some time very soon! All the best,The team @Da Vinciâs.

made a reservation for 8:30pm and they were able to accommodate the 8 of us, unfortunately someone needs to assist the chef who has forgotten on how long it takes to cook Spaghetti, which should only take 8 -10 minutes, a pizza that should only take at least 8 minutes maximum, and a burger should not take more than 5 minutes depending on how you like your meat cooked, so if you can assist the chef in telling him how long then maybe and if you have ample time to sit and order your breakfast as well at the same time, your evening meal may come within 1:30 hour of arriving, the pizza by the time it arrived was burnt on the base, and they did deduct it from the bill, it was a shame though that you should have to wait, as the restaurant at that time was not overly busy- Thursday evening. next year I think I will recommend trying somewhere else-

We booked a Groupon voucher for a 4 course meal for two, which cost â¬49. We certainly weren't disappointed! This is a lovely quaint, rustic venue and we were warmly greeted and shown to our table immediately upon arrival. The table service was extremely prompt and helpful and our waitress was friendly, engaging and polite. My husband had the duck spring roll for starters and he said it was delicious (he's a fussy so and so - so this means it must have REALLY been good ). I had the cajun chicken salad which was lovely. For mains, he had fillet of Haddock with chunky chips (again, he loved it!!) and I ordered Lamb pie with creamy mash. I can't describe how moreish this was!!! To die for!! A real homely abs hearty meal.Dessert was Berry merengue with ice cream, followed by coffee.Truly delighted with the experience, service and quality of food. We will DEFINITELY be back â¤ï¸
