I ate here with one of my friends on a Saturday night and we had an absolutely amazing meal. It was orgasmically good. The wine recommendations were great and really went with the dishes we chose. My duck with pear was one of the best meals I've had for ages and it was nice to have a meal not served with chips but with real potatoes roasted in garlic. If you are in the area you must go to this small but amazing place.

Fabulous wines and a simple selection of delectable "apéro" platters - cheeses, Spanish hams, sausissonâ¦..Great, friendly service, a fireplace for winter, a terrace for summer,â¦We had a fantastic evening in this stylish but welcoming and unpretentious wine bar.

Located in a quiet street (3 min walk from the train station), the place is very pleasant, spacious, with a terrace open when weather allows. The food is excellent (French, traditional and modern at the same time). New menu every month which gives you a good reason to book more often. The "Terre et Mer" salad is very generous (everything from the starter to the dessert is!) and offers a variety of flavors (home made smoked salmon, foie gras, crab ravioli, even lobster sometimes...). The Chef and his staff are great (we appreciated their suggestions and service). It is definitely a place to go for a good time.

This is a charming little restaurant (recommended by our B&B host) which successfully goes for the authentic, traditional feel. It is relaxed and friendly - no white tablecloths or pretensions - the kind of place where they bring a chalkboard with the daily specials to your table. If you're reading this review, you know that the area is off the tourist routes - especially for Americans - but if you happen to be in town, it's a great little find. The two folks waiting on us (owners?) spoke enough English to get us through the menu. We had lamb and duck - my wife rated the former as "superb" and my duck was very good. The creme brulee was excellent. They appear to have some very nice & pricey wines - we just asked for the house wine (not on menu) which was fine and reasonably priced.

Cuisine gastronomique italienne. Mozza bar. Pizza al taglio (pizza de forme carree typiquement romaine)
We ate at Osteria in the end of July and were very disappointed. First of all, the service was terrible. The waiters were absent and careless. Even though more than 3/4 of the tables were free we had to draw attention to ourselves just to get a table. When we finally got our table, there was no menu card, which we also had to ask for. The salt shaker was empty and we also had to ask for that. All in all, the waiters were not interested in their guests. Regarding our dinner, everything was wrong. We ordered burgers with fries and were served a red beef (from minced meat), which we promptly asked them to roast thoroughly. First, they claimed it was exactly how it should be, but of course we argued that minced meat needs to be well done in order to be safe to eat. When they agreed to roast it again, we got a black beef back - STILL red inside. Again we felt compelled to complain. This time we were told that it was inevitable not to burn the beef. The fries were nothing special. The prize was way too high for such a crappy meal. However, we heard that they had just opened, so we have a hope that Osteria has become better since we were there.First of all, I want to thank you for taking time to review our restaurant. As you say so, we had just opened when you came to visit us (we opened on july the 11th), and our organisation was not yet settled. Therefore, we would like to apologize for the poor service you had to endure. However, minced meat does not have to be well done as you claimed. What with a "tartare" ( which, for your information, is RAW minced meat, not cooked at all) ? The fries which you claimed were "nothing special" are fresh and handmade, which is rare enough to be noted.I can only regret your choice of word to qualify your meal : "crappy" seems quite an inappropriate word since we serve only fresh quality food. We hope to see you again so that you can enjoy an excellent meal and thus forget that first visit.

Le Nogentais was very pleasant and the food was a good standard brasserie selection. It was not a place I would go for a special evening, but it was certainly commendable. The server was very pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Being a professional in the food business, it was a great pleasure to have lunch in this small pizzeria/traiteur. My customer invited me to this place to see a real pizza professional at work. The chef is a real expert who loves his job and takes pride in selecting the best ingredients for his pizza. It was a pleasure to discuss with him about the food business and taste at the same time one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Strongly recommended, you will not be disappointed!

Good place for romantic "rendez-vous", family reunions and of course meals and business Meetings. Sit back confortably in an armchair and let yourself be a very refined taste journey. The chef, Pierre Henri Morel, invites you to discover all the delicacy
We have been going to Les Magnolias for at least 8 years. Every trip is full of delicious plates, surprises and joy. For instance, last night's lamb was served with a leaf of "garlic of the bears", which is wonderful and very seasonal. The macaroon with mustard was served on the side as was their delicious mashed potatoes. If one thinks of the cost of the top quality ingredients, the number of hard-working employees plus the services of both Mr. and Mrs. Chauvel, both the 3 course menu and menu degustation are excellent values! The Nuits St. George rouge at 44 Euros/bottle was delicious! If it were not for the type of suburb it is in, it would have at least 2 Michelin stars. But, please! don't move! The prices would go up and I could not afford to go twice per year. I recommend it whole heartedly.
