The open courtyard setting was lovely especially on a warm evening. The menu was a bit confusing as my husband's had different choices to mine and quite a few items were unavailable. The meals we settled on were delicious and the portions quite generous,I would recommend the grilled local cheese, quite different to the version we have in La Palma, and the chocolate mousse. I don't normally like wine very much but the local sweet white was very palatable.Thank you for your opinion and for registering on TripAdvisor.Reviews like yours help us to move forward with our service. Thank you for appreciating. Thanks and regards.Restaurante Sabor Canario. Hotel Rural Orotava.

Friends and I were in Tenerife for the day while on a cruise. Jaime, our guide and owner of Feel Tenerife, gave us a wonderful tour. For lunch, he took us to Bodegon Matias, a place with lots of locals. We had an assortment of Canarian foods: Chickpeas with pork, broiled cheese topped with red and green mojo, fish stew, roasted rabbit, chunks of fish topped with sauce, potatoes with two sauces, a light mousse for dessert; wine and water. Everything was delicious. The owners of the restaurant came to our table and were pleased we enjoyed our lunch. It's not in the center of town, but if you can find this place, go!!

Great little cake shop where you can "pick and mix" from a wide variety of the types of cakes your granny might have baked. You can sit down and eat them in the shop, but we took ours to the nearby garden and ate them in the sunshine.Very good value!

San Diego Restaurant, the authentic Canarian flavor. Wrap yourself in the delicious flavors of our traditional grilled meat: chicken, pork steak, sirloin, entrecote, chistorras, black pudding, rabbit. All this without forgetting the fresh fish of our isla
Years ago this was a regular haunt of the Tenerife Amigos golf society & then for some reason we left. But 3 visits in the last couple of week puts San Diego back on the regular visit list. Chops, steaks & burgers to die for.....try it , great food super staff, cannot fault itSo happy to see you again. And glad you are enjoying our variety of dishes. We aim to please and hope to be a hole in one for everyone. We look forward to your next visit. Thanks for the kind review. Cheers.

Lovely old bar just behind the church. Very simple decor. Food is excellent the menu del dia is excellent value around â¬8 for a three course meal including bread and a glass of tinto. Very friendly service and mainly Spanish eating there. Always my barometer for quality traditional food! Recommended for a great lunch.

Situated within the Victoria Hotel at the same address. Tel. no. is: 922.33.16.83
The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely in a large courtyard. The staff are very attentive and friendly and the food is presented with some style.Unfortunately the food doesn't quite meet the expectations,I had a fillet steak which was slightly tough and tasteless served with lots of cold apple sauce and cold gratinated potatoes. My husband had stuffed chicken which was tasty but didn't have anything served with it.The lunch time menu of the day looks to be very good value at â¬10.90 for three courses but we didn't try it.

Haydee is the result of experience in the kitchens of the Suarez brothers. Victor, who has cooked with the greats of world cuisine (MartÃn Berasategui and Ferran Adriá)and Laura formed in one of the world's best culinary schools "Le Gordon Blue". Vanguard
The menu at Tasca la Haydee is a wonderful fusion of Canaraian and Asian food. As a an aperitif they brought us a Bloody Mary jelly and a selection of beautiful breads with a variety of butters and oil. To follow we shared a Bao Bun Stuffed with Soft Shell Crab. For the main course I had a wonderful mushroom risotto with Parmesan and John had the fried eggs with black sausage. For desert we shared a Trilogy of Raspberries. The meal was accompanied by a local red wine -TajinasteApparently they will be moving their location in February 2019 to what used to be restaurant LâArena 53, off of the Santa Cruz motorway. We highly recommend this restaurant. Worthy of a Michelin Star but at very reasonable prices.Thank you so much for your extremely kind words, Sally. We are extremely happy to hear that you enjoyed our cuisine as much as you did. Will be moving inf late February any new information will be updated via our social media channels.Once againg, thanks for your support. Best

Having spent the morning at the volcano we were hungry for lunch on the way back found this place via TripAdvisor, And wasnât disappointed. We were the only English people in the restaurant and thereâs only about five tables so had to wait. Although they spoke limited English they had a tablet that displayed the dishes they were offering, traditional Canarian cuisine. We opted for the rabbit and pork and werent disappointed. Reasonable price and the owner Was very friendly. My tip is to have ice cream or cake at the bakery just up the hill from the church after.

Small, elegant and romantic restaurant with 21 years of experience. We are in San Felipe Street no. 53 about 300 meters from the famous Plaza del Charco. We are renowned for the quality and freshness of our products. We recommend to book a table. Tuesday
Barely 10 tables, book to avoid dissappointment.Had Canarian potatoes starter, pork cheek main and apple slices flambeed. good local wine, excellent service and friendly smile. Very helpful staff, spoke many languages and were proud of their food.Get the pork cheek.
Mama Nena: food to share by Hermanos Suárez.
Haydee has moved up the road, Mama Nena has been created by the Suarez. To call it "son of Haydee" is doing it a disservice. It stands on it's own.Four of us shared the dishes:Crispy Crab Bao with Yuzu Mayo. 2 between four of us. Managed to keep us all quiet (with maybe one exception!). Delicious.Salad of Crispy Prawns and red fruit vinaigrette. My oh my! Lovely.Tuna Tartar with gooseberry ponzu. Magnificent blend of a variety of different tastes which possibly shouldn't work but does.Meatballs over Udon noodles with teriyaki sauce. OMG - the taste of the noodles! Meatballs good too!!Pork Rib cooked at low temperature with strawberry hoisin - the previous dishes were excellent - so was this! Again, another wonderful blend of unexpected tastes. Which worked very well! And then came the Postres! Well this was seething else! Chocolate Foam, cream of galletta maria with date ice cream. The taste literally did explode in your mouth!Electric Lemon Pie - the best lemon pie I have ever tasted!Banana ceviche with tiger milk ice cream and rocoto. Can't really comment as I was unable to prise a taste! Suffice it to say there were many satisfied grunts being made!Crunchy vanilla strudel with kaffir lime ice cream and curry. This dish probably defines the whole meal, a blend of different tastes which probably shouldn't be mixed together but they work spectacularly well.2 bottles of Balancies White and two bottles of water. Much Pan and Mantiquilla. â¬146.A wonderful meal and thoroughly recommended.Thank you so much for such a kind review! We are truly honoured to receive this great words within our first month! We hope to have you back very soon so you can continue to experience our innovative cuisine. Best,
