Traditional Loukoumades(donuts), waffles, ice cream, coffee, special sweets, all with the best ingredients and love, made to put a big smile on your face! Handmade at its best!
Generally trapped in Kalamataâs winter as smokers prevail indoors despite the law we found a FB page Smoke Free Entertainment in Kalamata. On their list was Mamaâs Sweet Shop. 4 of us went for a birthday celebration. Great service, quaint, cozy warm and comfortable and out of control great sweets and coffees. Highly recommended. My first enjoyable time out in a very long time. My favorite was the chocolate pie. Cheesecake, which is generally not good in Greece by American standards was light and decadent. Everything is made there. Satisfied and happy. Definitely going back.

We only stopped by for an afternoon cocktail. The cocktails were professionally made and a bit stronger than weâre accustomed to but that was a good thing. The decor is fabulous and the servers very friendly and pleasant. Would love to return for a meal in the evening when the atmosphere must be fabulous.

The Carmel (Haifa) Choir is currently at the Choir festival in Kalamata. As a group we had a light lunch here today. Everybody enjoyed the food they ordered: salads, roasted sardines, eggplant salad, etc. The restaurant sits facing the marina and if you have a sunny day like we did it is a most enjoyable experience. The service was very efficient and pleasant. Best of all was the wonderful food the chef prepared in a reasonably short time.

Trying to be a bistrot.Louder music with fine casual kitchen.
Having discovered this gem 2 years ago, ventured back and not disappointed. Husband had the NY strip steak on both occasions (and the chips were fab..) and I shocked myself by having the hot chocolate mousse pudding - indulgent but heavenly. The wine we had - think house white - was the best on our entire trip. Very friendly staff and great music. Will def return

Came here with my husband for dinner last week during our stay at Kalamata. Had a reservation. NIce table outside, friendly and attentive staff. Had beetroot salad (their speciality) and chicken gyros. Presentation was excellent, however, I felt that the dish was not well balanced at all. The salad consisted of about 17 pieces of beetroot, 3 very thin slices of apple, crushed wallnut, a lot of balsamico and a yougurt sauce. All I could feel was the beetroot and A LOT of balsamico.Other ingredients did not add any taste to the dish.Chicken gyros - again, very nice presentation, delicious bread and sauce, however, a lot of VERY SALTED chicken (chicken itself was very tender and tasty), however, again, it was VERY salty. The bill was 30 euros for 2 without wine. I feel that the meal did not live up to our expectations.
