Traditional Croatian and Samobor cuisine
Great restaurant with HUGE portions. We ordered one soup which could be shared by 3-4 ppl. We then ordered two portions of veal and a chicken salad. The veal portions were very tasty and enormous. We could not finish them. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant is located on the highest point of the road Jastrebarsko - Samobor. It offers homemade cuisine, barbecue dishes and is equipped with parking, terrace and playground for children.
Good barbeque but don't miss the stew. Bread dumplings and wild boar and deer stew is to die for. Definitely worth a visit.
We ate lunch while sitting on the spacious terrace overlooking green hilltops of Sveta Jana, enyojing peace around us while sipping familys own homade red wine. The food is excellent quality, served on the old fashion way. For starters you can taste their cold cuts with various cheeses while for the main course I would strongly recommend veal which will mealt in your mouth. For desert try pancakes with wild berrys superb desert.
This restaurant offfers homemade cusine, baked dishes under the âPekaâ pot and has a parking and a terrace. It's open from monday-saturday(08.00-18.00), closed on sundays.
We took a chance on Restaurant Kuna on our way from the Istrian peninsula to Budapest. It was off the highway but WORTH the detour. Ivica Blazek greeted us and offered to bring us a typical local meal. We trusted him right away and let him decide the menu of delicious sausages, pork, cabbage, potatoes, bread, followed by cake his wife made. Great wine and local grappas complemented the meal. It's hard to describe the experience. Ivica is curious, funny, informed about world events, concerned about Croatia's economy, a loving father, a great host, generous, humble, and on and on. We met his mother who is involved in the day to day operations too. Go to Kuna (named for a local mink-like animal), ask for a meal suggestion, engage Ivica and savor all of it.

After an exciting sightseeing of the Ozalj Castle, we decided to have lunch at this wonderful restaurant. And we did not mistake. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, warm and cozy. The atmosphere is exceptionally good and relaxed. Excellent place for trying domestic specialties. They offer a variety of local dishes ( beans with sausage, tripe, veal medallions in a sauce, roast duck ....) friendly atmosphere and ambience, great service and staff. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience old and traditional.
