Find out what European restaurants to try in Italian Riviera. Liguria, or the Italian Riviera, boasts a bounty of beaches and resort towns, such as tiny but tony Portofino and stylish Rapallo. Hiking trails lead from Portofino to the villages of Cinque Terre. The Riviera of the Setting Sun runs north from Genoa to the French border. Connected by an extensive rail network, most towns make easy daytrips from one another. Genoa is the region's principal city and is home to attractions from its famous Cathedral and the Palazzo Reale to an excellent aquarium.

I titolari Claudio
Good warm welcome at this restaurant located the Hotel Mare in the grubby and industrial sector of town.An open / visible kitchen lets you observe the chef tasting food with the same spoon used to cook & serve. Nice!No compromise on altering dishes, for fussy eaters. Menu is very restricted, mushroom, fish or game and seafood. Massive Assumption that everyone likes these! Despite informing the waiter that my wife does not eat fish or seafood, all the hors dâoeurvers we fish based!!! No client focus or attention !!! The staff have dirty shoes and clothes too! Price was ok, with a fabulous bottle of Amarone the check came to â¬170 for two people.Remember this is a Michelin listed restaurant!! Not good enough!!Dear Bigboy1959,we feel very disappointed by reading your feedback.I took some ti to reply to this review as I personally checked with the maitre and the chef what happened.Allow me then to explain what actually happened point by point, as it differs from what you wrote. From January to May our restaurant was closed due to the complete renewal of our kitchen, which is now open and visible to our guests. The new kitchen was made with the latest technologies and "tidbits"; such as the sink divided in sections with constant flowing hot water, located at the chef's station, that allows him to have always clean spoons and cutlery. It goes without saying that he did not use the same spoon to taste and serve the dishes. You listed yourself that our carte is composed by mushrooms, fish, game, seafood and crustaceans so, despite being a restaurant with fish specialties, I'd have to disagree with you saying that our menu is restricted. As for altering or changing the dishes, we have no problems at all, the only thing we told you is that the Tasting menu is usually served for al the commensals of the table. Same thing for serving things not included in the menu - in fact to satisfy your wishes, the maitre suggested the Trofie with pesto you took, which are not in our carte. We take great care in the presentation, both of the dishes and the staff: moreover, we chose dark clothing in order to avoid possible stains on the uniform to be seen, so we're surprised to read that they had dirty clothes. We are glad you enjoyed your bottle of Amarone, but we have to say we're disapointed to find out only now that your experience wasn't as good as you told the maitre, who came by personally four times to make sure you were satisfied. We would have prefered to know that you weren't actually enjoying your meal - instead of finding it out on TripAdvisor - we could have intervened to encounter your needs and make your experience at A Spurcacciun-a unforgettable.Best RegardsPervinca Tiranini

We walked up the hill each night we were here to enjoy our gin and tonics and delicious food. The location is set amongst the buildings under the clock tower. Over looking the sea below and vine yards above. Hospitality is fantastic and the ladies who owned the cafe made us feel like locals after the 2nd visit. Sit and watch the tourists stroll by or the locals who meet on the bench every night for a chat. Worth the effort to walk up the hill

Nino's Brâxerîe is located in the beautiful medieval old town of Liguria, in Albenga. We are accessible only on foot, but a short walk from various "gates of the city", with parking available along the perimeter of the walls. We offer the best cuts of mea
Well done!In the first place I would like to greet nino's staff . The way they work is amazing , courtesy and availability make this restaurant an example . The restaurant is a typical demonstration of the italians will of creating New businesses.A balanced blend between food and innovation, well surrounded by one of the most amazing and typical square you can find in albenga, an amazing wine chart, and an extremely studied design. If you want to live albenga center..Well ! that's the way. They also provide a remarkable English translation of the menu

Ristorante di charme, con proposte mediterranee e liguri di qualità e carta di vini locali, naturali e champagne.
Came here two nights the week we were in Moneglia. The service was personal, friendly and warm. The food was perfectly executed and very reasonably priced. Around us were mostly locals. This restaurant is a special night out. The owner is personable and clearly enjoys overseeing the dining room. Loved it!

PLEASE NOTE: OUR PLACE IS NOT A RESTAURANT No reservation is required. Closed in case of bad weather.
I called to ask for a table next to the water since it was my birthday. Turns out, all the tables offer excellent views of the water/sunset. Simone (host at front) was so gracious. Not a large menu but reasonably priced and good food. My waiter was kind and funny, despite the large crowds.

Simply the best kitchen meditteranea
This grand restaurant has already achieved a pinnacle of success (and doesn't need my review), but I have to say that it was just an amazing experience--service so attentive that you hardly notice it, sweeping views of the sea, and comfortable, luxurious seating. The food was the star: each dish that came out was unique and colorful, but the explosive flavors knocked me out. I especially like the seafood dishes that were subtle, gentle, velvet-like. The tasting menu was five or more courses - but the total amount did not overwhelm me. An experience of a lifetime.
