Our special occasion destination in Richmond, La Buvette closed in August; for my birthday we looked to St Margarets' & discovered the Le Salon Prive.We enjoyed a great evening, with French ambiance, excellent service and well presented food.The menu is extensive and good value.Thank you very much for your kind review. It's lovely to hear that you enjoyed your time at Le Salon Privé after one of your favourite local restaurants closed - we're glad you chose us as an alternative and we hope you'll be back again soon!

A bit of a disaster really. Avoid. First they messed up my order by leaving in something I can't eat which makes my mouth swell. They remade it but didn't cook the prawns properly. I returned it for it to be cooked. When I got it back the prawns were charred on each side but barely cooked through. The quality overall was poor (food and wine) - some of the worst I've ever had and I waited a long time for everything. At the end of the meal I was told the place is cash only. I went to the bank for cash and paid full price (having been offered more wine after the first error) but left feeling angry and concerned I might get ill.

Love this place and went for our wedding anniversary back there again, been meaning to write a review but haven't.Highly recommend as food always good and the specials. The service is good, attentive without being overbearing. Most of all good food, good wines selection and great whether going out to celebrate or with friends.

My boyfriend and I were in the area after visiting Hampton Court and found this small italian restaurant. We were very pleased with our choice as the food was really good and the staff very polite. Pizza was lovely and crispy and there are quite a few interesting choices on the menu beyond the classic Margherita. The Gorgonzola e Noci and Dolce Vita pizza were both very tasty and light. The Sicilian panzerotti we had for dessert were delicious and not something you find in many Italian restaurants menus. Food was excellent.Tomato onion salad ...the onions were far to thick and it was one (1) tomato, but tasted goodPizza and noodles were tine, but i guess the noodles were from mass production, not italian hand madePizza was fineThe only thing that annoyed me was the constant chit chatter of the waitresses with their young friends which was obviously more interessting than the guest waiting to pay his bill

An evening of synchronicity! Watching Robert Lindsey with Lyndsay and then finding Chez Lindsay less than ten minutes walk from the theatre! How could this fail to be a magical evening? The front of the restaurant was empty (Monday night) and there was only one party of four at the back. We were greeted as if into Lindsays own home and offered any table in the house. Service was excellent with no hint that we should hurry despite the clock nearing midnight before we left.We chose the "Menu Prix Fixe" though substituting French Onion Soup for the soup of the day. My moules as starter would have been a main course in many establishments! The Confit de Canard is to be recommended (with a glass of St Emilion) Then crepe au citron and a cheese platter. Lindsay even found a half bottle of Sauternes (and the cork) to go with the Roquefort , Bliss.

Excellent food and wine throughout. We've dined here over many years and never been dissatisfied with anything they offer. Their steaks are always very good, as are the pasta meals we've had.Very good attentive service, superb complimentary olives and lovely bread.

A surprising comment, you might think, but many Italian restaurants in Britain, even including some of those actually run by Italians, donât really make the effort to go beyond a superficial rendering of standard dishes. Here, they dig a lot deeper than that, and deliver really enjoyable excellence. Highly recommended.
