This restaurant serves largely Balkan food and is very heavy on meats. They also serve some German dishes but when you come and eat here you have to go for the Balkan cuisine. The portions are massive and very heavy but the food is really yummy. Well, once in a while it is ok to sin...Quick service and reasonable prices

This is a place that is busy and full of life Eating in and outside it offers a great opportunity to eat in a relaxed atmosphereFood is as a chain with an extensive menus of staples for a tex mex style eatery Pizza pasta grill and more all with little salads and nothing that stands out It is what it is Good quality a touch over priced Great for a party and consistent Not a romantic dinner for two but great for the family

I have been several times there simply because my friends and acquaintances love this place. Every time I tried something else and every time it was ok. But none of the food was great or worth coming back if you don't have to. A medium rare steak is not well done and potatoes are not to be cooked to death. Wine and Beer should be served when ordered not half an hour later. And we shouldn't be forced to wait another half an hour for a bill. Overall I would not recommend this place but it gets 3 dots never the less for the nice atmosphere (build in a cellar) and the wines on the menu.

This restaurant has been remodeled since my last visit several years ago and it looks very nice with hardwood floors and sound deadening panels in the ceiling. This is Spargle season so everything comes with white asparagus, which is excellent. I had the Pike-Perch which wasn't perch at all but it tasted good. Probably just lost in translation. I also had the special mustard soup which was zuper!I bet in the summer when you can eat outside this place is really nice. You will be happy here.

I was in Dortmund for business and was commenting that I could not find any German restaurants. The place I was visiting took us to this restaurant, which seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. You access the place by going down a narrow tree lined road as it is situated in a forest. I am not fluent in German, but I gathered that they served game from the surrounding woods and had a lake on the premises and footpaths. The food was excellent as well as the service. Truly homemade food that was traditional German cuisine. I loved my veal and my associated had salmon that was well prepared. There was a beef soup for an appetizer that was just spicy enough to be tantalizing to the palate. I hope to go back again to try other items on the menu. Note that Thursday is game night and they had deer and boar as I recall. There were others, but I do not recall what they were. Local beer and just fresh, wholesome, hoe-cooked food- what better can you get? Their website is www.jaghaus-im-kuehl.de if you need more information. They have outside seating in the summer time and the décor is kind of alpine hunting lodge if I had to guess. The nice touch was the real fireplace that made the room nice and warm and cozy.

For more than 10 years that I'm visiting this restaurant say, at least 3-4 times a year.Usually I go with a group of colleagues, especially when we have international meetings at the headquarters of the company we all work for, located in Iserlohn. The menu focus a lot on meat dishes, very well cooked and served by a professional staff. A few fish dishes are also available. The salad buffet is also sufficient as a side dish to the main course.I personally recommend onion soup as a starter, followed by one of the delicious lamb dishes.Typical "alt" beer from North-Rhein Westfalia is also a good suggestion. The wine list is fair and suitable to cover the whole menu.
