We arrived at our hotel in the early evening after the Orient Express ride from Venice. The receptionist suggested a new restaurant a few doors down that had opened the week before - she had eaten there and enjoyed what she ordered so, it was close and convenient of we went. Early days for a new restaurant - to be honest we werenât over optimistic but soon sheâd led in to the warm, friendly environment. It was very pleasant and although the menu was in German we managed with the help of the locals at the next table and the owners who were so enthusiastic that our expectations increased. There was nothing that we were served that we didnât enjoy. Presentation was fabulous, the flavours were fabulous. All the food was imaginative, freshly cooked and tasty. We rarely have three courses but such was the menu that we just had to try the third course (desserts). We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned on our final night to eat and say thank you to the two owners. We all reall y do hope that they make a success of this project and that we will return to the wonderful city of Innsbruck in the near future. Hopefully the locals will support Essen and Kulter going forward. Many thanks and all the best for the future. Barry, Gwen, Sue and Francis.

This place was a real treat for the last night of our holiday visit to Innsbruck. Wonderful food, really excellent wines for the Euros, and very comfortable elegant surroundings. And super nice, efficient, yet relaxed service, as it should ideally be at a non-snobbish gourmet style restaurant. We were there on a dark winter night, so the vistas were naturally limited, but even so you feel privileged to dine in style surrounded by the city spires, lights and mountains. The 'glass-cage'- like design resembles quite a lot the very elegant 2-michelin star Facil in Berlin, but although the cooking at Lichtblick dos not seek the same extravagant ambitions as there, we enjoyed ourselves nearly as much. Donât miss the 360 bar next door, you need not even enter to spend more money, you can just circle the skywalk around it for free, if you are content.

We visited this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and open late. The reviews looked good so it seemed like an excellent choice. The service was extremely fast by European standards, which we appreciated. This is an extremely fine dining establishment and priced accordingly. Dinner cost more than our hotel room most nights on this trip. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. The timing of service could not have been better. We had salads, trout, and gnocchi. With a bottle of white Austrian wine and two bottles of water, it was over 100⬠before tip. I thought it was worth it. I think that says it all.

We warmly welcome you in the restaurant AKROPOLIS! We look forward to welcoming you as a guest in our restaurant for Greek specialties. We endeavor to provide you with a friendly and courteous service, a rich offer of food and drinks and not least by the
I started with the grilled Haloumi cheese (accompanied by arrugula) and âgrilledâ octopus (accompanied by arrugula) and pita bread (be aware there is a charge for the bread). The Haloumi was great. The octopus was acceptable but had been boiled before grilling which yields a different texture to that which we eat in Greece and not my preference . I followed with lamb chops accompanied with potatoes (meh) and superb green beans. I had white wine, red wine, and two digestive mastichas. With tip, I paid 65⬠and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Thank you for the very good rating odysseusk. We rely on the feedback of our customers and are of course pleased with such good reviews. We are especially happy if we get a good rating from Greeks ;) & we look forward to your next visit! Best regards, the Akropolis Team

A charming and very traditional gasthaus above Innsbruck. The views are nice, not stunning but nice. It's lovely to sit outside in the warmer months but the indoor dining room is equally delightful. The food is classic Tirolean/Austrian and completely delicious and satisfying. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Definitively worth a visit or two or more.

Amazing food. Every dish was incredible and completely different in taste. We had both the flatbread options as entrees, the veggie burger and flan for a main, and profiteroles and the coconut mousse & stewed plums for dessert. I'd recommend everything, especially the burger! Totally shows just how exceptional good vegetarian food can be. The staff were friendly and happily translated the menu for us (there are only written copies in German). This is an absolute must-do restaurant in Innsbruck.

die Wilderin offers modern and yet traditional alpine cuisine. All produce used is sourced directly at local farmers and producers in adherence with seasonal offerings - only what is available at any given moment in time will find its way into die Wilderi
We wanted to have dinner in a place that used local produce but was a little bit different to more traditional restaurants. Die Wilderin fit the bill. Lovely atmosphere. Great combination of a modern wine bar and restaurant. Warm, friendly service. Simple but excellent food that is good value for the quality on offer. A waiter who took time to translate the short but complex menu from German. Outside I heard a tourist saying âIâm not paying THAT price for a burger when we could go to MacDonaldsâ. Well can I say he missed out. Die Wilderin knows how to take an ordinary dish and make it special.
