Gutbürgerliches Speiserestaurant, Quartierkneipe, gut geeignet für Familienanlässe, Vereine, Businesslunch. Eigenes Sitzungszimmer, schöner Garten.
Staying around Zurich for Iron Man Switzerland and wanting a meal for our two families we e-mailed the restaurant with the help of goggle translation. An immediate response was in english without the help of goggle, cheerful and friendly and yes there would be a table for that night. When we arrived we were given a really friendly and warm welcome with our table ready. Menus were supplied in English and drinks orders taken swiftly. The menu was explained and horse was off (not that any of us shed a tear for that)We ordered and the food was soon brought by our pleasant hostess -warm and excellent. ( The food that is) We had to try the local fish (delicious) and snitzells served with a choice of fries, pasta or salad. Dessert was offered and ice cream and hot berries was the favourite with proper hot berries and delicious ice cream. Altogether a very good experience, shame we are going back to UK tomorrow.

Liebe Gaste und Freunde! Vom 15. Februar bis 28. Februar 2018 bleibt das Seerestaurant L'O fur Betriebsferien geschlossen. Ab 1. Marz 2018 sind wir wieder fur Sie da! Wir freuen uns auf Ihren Besuch!
I've eaten at Horgen L'O restaurant a few times but understand it is now under new management / new chef... the difference is night & day and not in a good way.My girlfriend and I ate here on Thursday 16th August 2018... kind of a mid week date night. It is a great location - right on the lake.On arrival (we had made a reservation) we asked for the free table by the lakeside, got told this was not possible - it was... the staff just didn't want to rearrange a table of four to a two, and then move the four to where we ended up sitting. After ordering at around 19.15ish the starters arrived 10 minutes later (Ravioli with spinach / cream cheese and melon / prawn) both dishes were devoid of taste / seasoning, the melon was over ripe and the prawns looked like they had been unpacked about 2 mins ago. After waiting for an hour our main course of 2 steaks (medium) arrived swamped in a separated oily sauce (see photos) and over cooked (well done). We politely brought this to attention of the waiter who agreed and took them back... sat for another 20 mins before asking where the steaks where and food suddenly appeared... after cutting and eating 2 mouthfuls they were clearly overdone (again)... brought this to the attention of the waiter who decided to argue the point with us.At this moment I asked for the bill, paid for what we have ordered (around CHF 260 including wine) and left. The head waitress did offer money off and apologize but for me the evening & dinner was ruined. In summary appalling service, tasteless / overcooked food - avoid this place at all costs unless its a simple drink on the terrace you're after. If you are looking for a great restaurant in Horgen go to Hotel Schwan... a 5 min walk into town where they have outside tables around a fountain in the summer - feels like the South of France - service, food and wine are first class!

La Fontana offers a wide selection of Swiss and Mediterranean dishes - all excellently cooked and presented. Also freshly cooked Pizza. The service is very friendly and efficient. I have never been disappointed when eating here. It is not a gourmet restaurant and doesn't pretend to be - but it's very, very good indeed!

i have eaten here many times since it changed to the Dorfbeiz, In the beginning it was excellent, food & service, with theme nights, different things going on during the seasons. Ate here in the last few months, most recently in January 2016 on a Saturday night at 8PM, we were the only people in the whole place! what does that say? Waitress didnt care, she had her friends at the bar waiting for her, and we kept on having to call her over to get her attention, slap dash style. such a shame, this place had such high hopes. food quality and service has gone down hill. will not be returning.... sadly.

This tiny Italian restaurant is located down a narrow street, and borders the train station. It is painted a bright yellow, and we were able to easily find it. Parking is metered ,and available within a short walking distance. On this rather chilly Friday afternoon, the restaurant was quite busy. Although we booked ahead, our table was directly opposite the entrance , and a bit windy. Next time we will request another table, so that we can truly enjoy the meal. The menu was a bit pricey for lunch, and there were only 4 entrees available. My companion translated , as there were no English subtitles, and 3 of the 4 had mushrooms, to which I am very allergic. I chose the remaining item, pizza! It was a good choice, larger than a normal Swiss pie, with a light crust and delectable cheese. However , it was baked with slices of salmon upon it, and that was not exactly my favorite. However, I wrapped the remainder for take away, and my family was thrilled. The pizza was accompanied by a delicious salad. My friend ordered the veal with risotto, and was unimpressed with the tenderness of the meat, but enjoyed the rice composition. He did enjoy the steamy tomato soup starter and crispy roll. I would recommend this restaurant, and we plan to try it again, as the staff was very efficient and helpful. Next time it will hopefully be warmer, and we will ask for an interior table, and try the pastas.

Went there today with a local who recommended this place. Lots of food options, big portions and very tasty. Servers were very friendly. It was asparagus season and there were a lot of dishes available. Nothing superfancy, but good and tasty quality. Would definately go back!

Italian Speciality Restaurant We want you to feel the experience. Italian kitchen with the right touch, and care for details. The right flavors accented with rosemary, thyme or a Chef's Secret. We try every dish to surprise the right note. Mediterranean c
