Welcome to Fischerâs Baslow Hall, our award-winning, individual, stylish, boutique country house hotel and restaurant. The location could hardly be more stunning. A Grade 2 listed, stone-built manor house standing on the edge of Baslow, a picturesque vill
We've been coming to Fischer's for about 15 years after getting married here. Today was my 70th birthday and the lunch was superb. All my family enjoyed their meal and the service was faultless. I especially commend our waitress for her attention to us. The food today was as good or better than any meal I've had there before.Thank you.Thank you for the positive feedback following your visit to Fischers. The team here are delighted that you enjoyed the experience and look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon.

We ate upstairs and had 7 dishes and a lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for £46.50 - amazing value. The food was excellent and I highly recommend both the king prawns and the calamari dishes as well as the delicious fried potato. The service couldn't be faulted it was both efficient and friendly. If you don't want to eat just pop in for a drink (they have a good selection of gins!).

This was my final Sunday lunch at this wonderful hotel because the business is closing on 29 September 2019. Every meal has been exceptional, the ambience of the dining room and the professional service from the servers always contributed to a perfect dining experience. My family have celebrated memorable birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions and we will struggle to find another venue to match the unique Hassop Hall Hotel. So sad to say goodbye - we will miss you.

The staff here were great. They had enquired on booking about any dietary requirements and had prepared a dairy free menu specially for us. Lovely lounge where we had cocktails before the meal and then nice dining area. Beautifully presented food which tasted excellent. Really enjoyed our choices including delicious dessert. Coffee and petit fours to finish. Really nice evening in a relaxed but stylish hotel. Service was slow but it suited us. Not somewhere to go if youâre in a rush but for us it perfect

A family owned and run hotel and restaurant, situated 5 minutes outside of Hathersage upon 11 acres of lush land by the River Derwent.
Came here on a Saturday evening by chance, as other places on Hathersage were either busy or we didn't fancy them. The place was nicely busy, giving a good feeling. The menu is quite extensive for a country pub, but I suppose it is as bit more than that. The food was served promptly and was delicious, and the staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the following evening.A bonus was that the wifi was good and better than our hotel in the village.

Located in the picturesque village of Tideswell in the heart of the Peak District, The Merchantâs Yard offers fresh, locally sourced cuisine and carefully crafted drinks in an atmospheric and friendly environment, where top class service is a priority. Wh
Just arrived in the village so needed an early dinner. This place had a deal on, 2 & 3 courses if ordered before 18.30, plus cocktails were 2 for £10 before 18.30. £19.95 for three courses and plenty of choice for each course, I found it difficult to pick as all dishes on the menu looked so nice. All three courses were enjoyed by us all. The cheese board was . Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Evening restaurant, daytime café, wine & cocktail bar and mini-cinema. Offering daytime brunches with riverside garden. Evening events programme, locally sourced restaurant menu, speciality Gaillac wines and innovative cocktails. Open daytimes and evening
Called in to the H social club for lunch on a lovely sunny Thursday and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the gate in to the garden , The dog was also welcomed enthusiastically and we were seated in a nice area of the garden overlooking the stream. The service here is wonderful and we were looked after superbly by the whole team all afternoon and our pup was made dog of the day and became famous on Instagram. The drinks are good but there is not a wide choice and no draught beer , so I sampled a few bottles of Estrella which was excellent , the missus had a pot of Earl grey. The food here is superb , cooked fresh to order from the best local ingredients , I had the Steak special with roast tomatoes , fried eggs , home made chips and home made chimichurri sauce which was beautiful. the best steak I have had in a long time. The missus had the Halloumi and portobello burger which she said was equally delightful. We then decided to treat ourselves to the home made waffles for dessert , which were also really good. What a lovely place this is with a great atmosphere , lovely people who look after you and superb food and drink at reasonable prices. We had a great afternoon and will definitely return.

We had Afternoon Tea in the Orangery Restaurant consisting of a selection of finger sandwiches served on white and brown bread, these included smoked salmon, Bennetts' Hope Valley free range eggs with mayonnaise, cucumber and Peak District ham and mustard. Warm, freshly baked scones with whipped cream and strawberry jam and a selection of seasonal home-made cakes, Afternoon Tea costs £15.95 per person and in my opinion is well worth it. The hotel uses local naturally grown/free range produce wherever they can and it shows in the taste.I would definitely recommend this Hotel if you like peace and quiet and stunning scenery along with friendly efficient staff.

Their telephone number is 01433621870. Postcode is S33 8WH. Very impressive restaurant in a small village, and I would love to give them a review. Thanks. Peter Taylor
Great selection of food to suit all tastes from sharing platters, tapas dishes, typical Mediterranean and British dishes to pasta and pizza plus a superb choice of vegetarian and vegan options which were also cooked to perfection (not just a veggie option as a token gesture to keep the vegetarian in the corner happy). There was also a great drinks selection from beers, gins and spirits to a good range of wines. The food and drink are competitively priced and no more expensive than in the local pubs. We loved it so much we went twice during our week long stay!

The Samuel Fox Country Inn, Bradwell in the Hope Valley is conveniently located at the heart of the glorious Peak District National Park. It has four beautifully appointed letting rooms and since October 2012 has been in the hands of chef patron James Duc
Comfortable room, very comfortable bed. Evening meal was pretty much as good as it gets even when compared to the best London dining establishments and service was a nice mix of professionalism and personal engagement. The locals that live nearby are exceptionally lucky to this place in their area.
