The restaurant is good for lunch or dinner with families. Traditional food at a moderate price, located in the center of Heppenheim very close to the old city center.

Nice, rustically decorated place, not too big, not to small in Bensheim/Zell. Can be combined with a walk between the wineyards.

Excellent meal, well cooked but don't expect vegetables.Try the local Spatsburgunder red wine, it's brilliant. Main bar occupied by locals enjoying the wine but restaurant has good service. They do not take credit/debit cards so be prepared to pay cash.

Much improved menu no since previous report. Very nice staff but annoying wasps everywhere which ruined atmosphere. I think they should invest in wasp catchers? Other than that, few drinks and one flammkuchen came to 25euros and in terms of value this wasn't great.

The market. Square in Heppenheim is surrounded by lovely old timbered houses and tables and chairs were outside the restaurants. We had been recommended to go to the Golden Angel.Being a very hot day we had salads. My wife had one with salmon and trout, and I had medallions of turkey. Just right for the heat. Glad we had room for black current sorbet with proseco.

We got into this place attracted by the Spanish style but nothing was really matching the expectations. They did not even know what the hamon de bellota was and of course they did not have it.Spanish red wines are fantastic, excellent quality for price but the selection in this restaurant is so poor...We had to go with an hamburger and frites... what a pity.

This hotel certainly gets the vote for a peaceful location although under certain conditions traffic noise from the A5 is evident. The room was clean and comfortable. If you want to sleep with the window open get a room not facing the lake otherwise bug life might irritate you. Restaurant was good with standard set menu.

This former antiques show room was changed some years ago to a restaurant and is tastefully and comfortably furnished and appointed. A very pleasant atmosphere but quite a large area and so for me, lacking in 'Gemütlichkeit' or intimacy which for most people may be irrelevant. The welcome is very warm and efficiently handled. There is a table d'hote menu together with the limited a la Carte menu. This limited menu is quite a good idea, allowing the kitchen to concentrate on doing a few dishes, but doing them well. We were a party of six and all were satisfied with quality and quantity of the meals. The one small complaint was that the House wine that was served had been sitting too long in an open bottle and so tasted oxidised. It was mentioned to a staff member but no response was forthcoming other than a rather negative frown. Finally, in my view, this is not a restaurant suitable for small children.

Such a lovely experience again here. The waitress is half Italian and German and I had a nice conversation with her.I had the seafood cocktail with smoked salmon starter - gorgeous !Then the swordfish and pasta and veg (and salad bowl which is very German and actually not Italian) special was fabulous . It was â¬20 but worth every penny. The house red wine is only â¬3.50 a glass and delicious. Staff overall all nice and friendly and the menu offers great choice of not only Italian food. Great location in centre . Best Italian i have eaten at in a long time !

This is still one of my favourites in Heppenheim. The selection on the menu is great, with plenty of traditional German dishes washed down with some good winds again regionally selected. My friend went for a pork dish with potatoes and I had a schnitzel. The restaurant is extremely atmospheric and because of its position on the Main Square in the old town it adds to the traditional German charm.à la mail cost â¬40 which was two main courses and two drinks. I think that is fair for what we received.
