Always a hearty welcome from the owner/manager.Do not miss this restaurant if you live fish: lobster soup and - of course - their signature dish. But best of all is their sole. Always fresh ( but on booking a table pre-order the sole or you might be disappointed. It costs around â¬30 but worth every penny - do not get robbed off elsewhere with so-called fillets of sole for ⬠20 which are anything BUT sole!

This was by far the best dinner we had on our 10 day Inn River cycling tour. The menu is quite upmarket, and would be attractive to gourmands. The outdoor garden seating is attractive with tables nicely spaced.Service was discrete and delightful. The food was superb. The menu is fairly limited, always a good sign in my mind, so you are recommended to check before booking to make sure the options are attractive to you.I tried to book this place for one of the other nights we stayed in Passau, but regrettably the venue was fully booked. Little wonder, its a great restaurant.

Innovatively conceived and exquisitely prepared dishes from the all-star team of Michael Reis. Service is both top-notch and friendly. Many fantastic "GrüÃen aus der Küche" that are as much works of art as they are culinary delights. Absolutely worth the trip out to scenic Waldkirchen.

This place is located up hill and outside the village if Hauzenberg. Nevertheless more than worthwhile to visit. As soon as you arrived, parked your car and walk towards the restaurant you are already able to see a stunning view. Especially when its a clear sky your view will be wide and far for miles and miles. We really loved it. The weather was warm and therefore able to sit outside, which gave us a chance to enjoy the view during dinner. Outside was fully occupied, so a reservation is adviced. Locals love coming here, but also their own hotel guests. Staff was a bit understaffed but she did an amazing job all by herself and managed the whole terrace without giving you a feeling she was in a hurry. Thumbs up for her. The fish was very tasty and good value for money. Same counts for the jaeger schnitzel. We have enjoyed our dishes. Good price quality ratio. In case it is no weather to sit outside, Inside there is a lot of place as well but i expect that a reservation is to be adviced as well.

First of all its recommended to come by car and keep in mind the road is a local road, with some steeper elements and not always very wide. Yet when you arrive you have a beautiful view over the area. When its warm outside there is also an outside terrace but most often its a busy place with the staff running around. Seating more people at one table is common. It has its charm and a good way to get in touch with locals, although it might not be to your liking. Their menu is basically local dishes. Not a big menu but good enough if you are not looking for anything fancy. The price quality ratio is but not outstanding or impressing. Portions may be big for some people, but for locals its regular sized. Zigeuner schnitzel was covered in a good amount of sauce. The horsradish schnitzel had a nice bite. Also due to fact they were running around, it didnt end in the top of prefered places. As you can read in my other reviews. All together its ok and you can certainly try when around.

fromthe famous city Passau just 10 minutes by car, is the Naturhotel Gidibauer Hof. Is´s very quiet and surrounded by the Bavarian forest but also near the city Hauzenberg (500 m) Our Hotel is famous for its cuisine and our historic building with very com
The most fabulous bedroom, on two levels, in the most fabulous setting. And a fine dinner to boot. The only tiny downside was that they were hosting a celebratory dinner in the Dining Room, with the result that the overnight guests were demoted to the Breakfast Room for the evening. But it was no great hardship, and breakfast the next morning on the sun-filled terrace was a delight! And all for £52 a head!
