During our Croatian sailing adventure, we enjoyed our stay at the island of Pomena, especially with the kind assistance of Stanko who exceeded our expectation of helpful restaurant staff. We were treated with exceptional kindness and a delicious meal of local fare, fish, lamb and octopus. A delightful evening was had by all.

Small island visit and in the mooring area for our boat was about 6 restaurants. We chose this one as it was cheapest but also because it was facing the beautiful sunset over other islands. We had octopus salad, Croatian meats and pickled anchovies to start. These were very nice and fresh. We all had grilled scampi in a garlic sauce for mains. These were langoustines in the shell, presented well. They were gorgeous! Big, fresh and tasty. We ended up putting the chips we had in the sauce when we had eaten all the scampi and this was brilliant. Two litres of red and white wine, waters and coffee too. Total bill was £145. Very reasonable for what we had.

We passed this by a couple of nights as it never seemed that popular, but when we finally went, we couldnât understand why it wasnât busier. The steak was amazing and right up there with some of the best Iâve had, Pizza was good without being outstanding, but salads were nice too. Youâre up on a terrace so although itâs by the road, you donât have people walking or driving right by you, and you get to sit by the olive trees that produce the olives youâll eat in so many of their dishes. Was cheaper than many of the others in town, too.

My mother and I truly enjoyed our meal here! We had the seafood risotto and seafood pasta and it was purely delicious. The prices are affordable and the portions are just perfect. We also had an incredible waiter. The atmosphere is very relaxed and warm. I truly recommend it if you are on the island !

We found this place by accident a couple of years ago and it was fab. We came back this week to find it was just as good. The staff helped us get moored up ( weâre on a boat) they were really friendly and helpful. We ate dinner there , the steak was amazing, to die for !! Everything else that came out also looked delicious. Weâll certainly be going back .

Fish was good to excellent. Lobster with pasta was frozen, which was honestly explained by the waiter. House wine so so. Grilled pork just average. For this level of quality expensive...Lobster with pasta was frozen and it always is if you choose that in the menu and it cost 500kn for two, but in the menu have fresh live lobster on the kilogram, then you choose it in aquarium with live lobsters which is in front of restaurant and offcourse the price is much different.

We were so glad we read the sign on our way back from the lakes, because we decided to have dinner tonight at the Dalmatino for our last night in Pomena. What a lovely little restaurant and away from the maddening crowd which is a plus. It's up a little hill and the view is lovely of the Pomena port and then the forest on the other side, whilst eating your dinner on a cute terrace. The owner I'm assuming was our waiter and I know some complain about his lack of what most customers expect from other waiters etc but, trust me, their hospitality is fake beyond belief. The owner here on the other hand is very real and genuine, if you're pleasant to him, he's very pleasant back in his own endearing way. A truly nice man indeed.Anyway to the food. The fish my wife and I ordered tonight was fresh and tasty as hell! I was so glad I ordered it too, otherwise I would certainly have had food envy from her. A wonderful meal, in a very beautiful setting. This family run restaurant is an absolute must if you are ever in Pomena.I would definitely return and try the pots, which I hear are very special.

Some of the best seafood I have experienced! The staff are lovely and attentive and take pride in their food and service. Most of the seafood comes, quite literally, from the water right in front of the restaurant...highly recommend that you reserve a table to avoid disappointment. Enjoy

We went there for lunch (quite early). The waiter was very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. We shared octopus salad and had black risotto as well as grilled squid. We can't praise it high enough! Also, it was a nice change to the monotonous buffet food of the hotel where we stayed in. Overall, it was a good value for money.

Great dinner last night at this bayside restaurant. Visited earlier in the day and offered a table on the terrace to see the sunset - but we were a bit late arriving so missed it.Wonderful meal - mix of calamari starters, cattle fish risotto, chicken and steaks perfectly cooked. Decent wine list sensibly priced and attentive waiters. Well worth the visit.
