After a pleasant dinner at the Auberge de la Réunion in late July, we returned twice for dinner. Alas, the two more recent dinners were pretty dismal experiences. The first time was with a veal kidney dish as main course - dry and overcooked, and over-seasoned. For the most recent dinner, I ordered 'Filet de féra gratiné' - a dish which had been very good at the dinner in late July. This time, the cook might have taken a time out when preparing the dish - the fish was overcooked, and the sauce had solidified completely. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she called the manager who explained that this 'was normal', as the dish was 'féra gratiné' (sic). I didn't eat much (though it ought to be acknowledged that the manager realized I was not happy and offered to bring another dish). when we asked for the bill, I noticed that the bottle of wine had been overcharged by CHF2.- I signalled this to the waitress, who adjusted the bill, but without saying a word let alone apologizing.. Won't return.Hello Sir,Of course we are sorry for disapointing you the evening in question. We had walked past the Auberge Communale de Prangins on many occasions but our recent dinner was the first visit. Fortunately we reserved, as the restaurant was full on the evening of our visit. There is a limited selection of starters and mains, but the staff will tell guests about specials (starters and mains) on offer which are not on the printed menu. I had a daurade ceviche with mango as starter, which was pleasant but not too exciting. My dos de cabillaud was well cooked but a trifle dry - some sauce would have helped, as the pesto coating was a little on the dry side. Our daughter had a very good beef dish as children's menu, and my wife a poulet fermier des Dombes as a main which was good. The Chardonnay from Ardèche that we had to accompany the meal was very pleasant and fairly priced.

We visited for lunch , more or less on impulse. The service was attentive without being fussy, the food a delight.The malakoff were as expected, The best anywhere. However it was the quality and presentation of the main course meals that represented, for the money, perhaps the best value in Vaud. The fish dishes were a delight, crisp and unctuous. If you want a low key local treat, this is the place to go.

Sitting nicely on the village edge the Auberge looks over the Chateau Vineyards.I can imagine in summer the terrace area would be packed as you couldn't find a better vista.The service was exceptional & the fixed menus whilst expensive were beautiful.For starter we had lasagne with a lobster bisque sauce ( with generous pieces of lobster) followed by the classic of 'Filet de Perche). The actual perch were some of the best we have had..... golden brown & larger than normal.Finally a Creme Brulee which I must say tasted like a real English custard !!! Bravo.

Fantastic meal last evening with our family. Fantastic. The restaurant was busy but the service was nevertheless attentive and excellent. As usual the food was top. The “little Perche du Lac” were particularly good. Overall, a fantastic fantastic meal and evening.

We went twice during my stay and also had them cater Christmas Eve. A smallish place with open “lab” which is really nice! The food was outstanding, especially the catering: original, tasty, beautifully presented! The owners work hard and love what they do and it shows in their offerings.

This is not a fine dining place but one where you can taste Italian finger food. We took our daughter and her friends there for a birthday party lunch. Warm bread, a good selection of Italian charcuterie, cheeses, grilled or marinated vegetables, plus a tiramisu as dessert that got the thumbs up of the kids... would not go here for dinner but the concept is interesting, and service is friendly.

New restaurantt enchanting decor great service, nice location with view on the Jura & the Alps.You will love it, welcoming owner with delicious food...reserve before as it is always surer to get a table ( always crammed) It has a small default; very noisy, I hope they will do something about it soon. It isn't very easy to find as it's not on the main road. But worth the try for sure. I really reccomend if youre looking for a change outside Geneva.

Always nice to go to Balthasar, never disappointed. The manager greets you at the entrance, the staff is nice and helpful, the food always delicious. We had cocktails maison and the formule, steaks and chips and secret sauce and fish. The Christmas deco was perfect as well.
