We had the tasting menu for lunch. The view on the Vierwaldstättersee could not be better. The service was friendly and the food just great! The smoked trout on a salad tasted fresh and light, the mountain hay soup was very interesting, the tenderloin with mashed potatoes as a main course was of good size and super soft. The dessert was a frozen yoghurt with biscuit on a verbena gelee. The four course menu is priced at 65 CHF. Also the wine selection is good. This is a hidden pearl! To come to this restaurant you have to take the cable car from Emmetten.

Sitting directly on the lake with the wonderful views lake Lucerne has to offer we got a very friendly reception and service. We tried the Chinese cuisine and it was excellent! The curry was greatly spicy like we got it in Asia and the sweet and sour crispy beef was excellent. The "new Schwert" is definitively a great choice.pore

The Café Rathaus does not offer menus. You can get what ever a Swiss bakery has to offer. They have a special tea card. We tried to drink us through all these different these teas but no chance, there are to many.During the winter months they offer Sunday afternoon folks music with changing groups who come to play music. As the Café is rather small, it is recommended to be there before 2 pm to get a seat. The music ends at 5 pm.pore

We are a small hotel restaurant located above Lake Lucerne, with a panoramic terrace, a good traditional cuisine Cregional / seasonal), fresh produce, a good wine list with selected Swiss wines, cozy hotel rooms, with a Stübli and Säli invites you to ling
If you are looking for a place to relax while passing through Switzerland, around Luzern and Zurich, or more, this is the place for you. Check availability on Booking, but don't hesitate to go directly to the hotel and check in right on the spot, as I did, chances are you'll be greeted by fantastic hosts who will not hesitate to make it a special offer. Try dining too in their restaurant, on their terrace overlooking the lake and enjoy the fantastic view and the great cuisine by the owner/chef. I was, with my 10-year old son, just passing through and we were really lucky to find a place like this and it truly was a great experience.

The staff seems to be comprised of 1 professional and 3 students (possibly from a nearby hotel school) Eager to perform, following a learned procedure, rather than good old common sense. There is a world of difference to a seasoned hospitality pro or someone who is simply a hospitality talent and someone who is eager learn but still needs to follow instructions.I did not expect to write something about the staff, because we actually came for the food. The teasers, (greetings from the kitchen) were sensational and raised our expectations. What followed was very disappointing. The lobster bisque was too salty (which is often the case) and the salad with goat cheese was a large portion of not so fresh greens with chunks of goat cheese. The size of the portion was fortunate, because the main course consisted of two small slices of not very tender beef, more or less cold when it arrived. The main course was literally 4 bites of meat. For a hefty price tag of around 60 Swiss Francs.Dessert was fine, nothing spectacular but acceptable. Will not eat there again and will not recommend.Dear ItalianNomad, Thank you very much for your valuable feedback about your recent visit at the restaurant PRISMA. We are sorry to learn that the offered service standards were not what you expected in a Michelin stared restaurant, we apologize, that the salad was not as fresh as it should be according to your and our expectation. Unfortunately we did not have your feedback during the evening about the salty bisque and the cold main course in order to replace it with a new plate. It would be our pleasure welcoming you again to have a new and better experience.Kind regards,Moritz DuerlerDeputy General Manager

Steakhouse with lake terrace and beautiful view on lake lucerne and the surrounding mountains. Specialties: Char-grilled dry aged Swiss Angus Beef and US-Beef. Pizza from the golden wood oven.
Have been there a few times but usually for tea time. This time lunch and we enjoyed really a nice selection of food. I can recommend the Angus Burger but Pizza looked REALLY good as well and tasted outstanding. The oven is very special and dough only 2mm thick. Back to my burger: Great Angus beef, bit too well done for a medium and the meat could be a little bit less heavy/solid. Taste was very good with a good barbecue sauce and salad. Again a nice time and reason to come back for more ( aged beef ). Service and decoration is country style and friendly. But on the other hand the beer selection and spirits outstanding. Too bad Gersau is so far away from any fast connection/city/major place. Also the ship schedule in winter time is not ideal but fit was very good for lunch.

We stayed here for two very enjoyable nights a couple of years ago. Recently we were staying nearby and had an evening free so we dined there.Gersau is accessable by AAGS 'bus route 2 and lake ship as well as by car and on foot. We arrived by ship and walked through the little streets to the Tubli. We were pleased to see the same couple in charge, the wife in front of house and the husband in the kitchen.Food is available all day so no worries about waiting for dinner time and the menu offers a range of typical local dishes all at reasonable prices. There is a selection of wine available and no doubt other drinks. We liked the atmosphere, it felt traditional, it had locals in and it was friendly. We were pleased that we had returned and decided that we must stay there again before too long.

The restaurant philosophy is simple and straight forward: «fresh, uncomplicated and good». We use exclusively fresh products like cheese from the neighbouring alps, locally produced spirits and meats from local farmers. The menus offered depend on the sea
The wonderful hosts Gabrielle and Daniel had created a great evening for our global company dinner. Food and wine were so delicious and the atmosphere was warm and familiar. The idea from Gabrielle with "only one bottle of wine" for 45 people was great - it was a 12 litre bottle of fantastic swiss red wine.Dear TinaIt was wonderful hosting your global event. Thank you for your positiv feedback. It was a fun evening with many interesting people from all over the world.Hope to see you soon! With the warmest regards from Beckenried,Gabrielle and Daniel with the Schlüssel Team
