Dominos beach bar and restaurant - now under new management and newly renovated. Great spot in the middle of the beautiful Kotu beach. Take in the sun and sea with a good choice of drinks on our free sunbeds, or take advantage of our restaurant which serv
I have visited Kotu very many times and although enjoyed a beer at the bar here, never actually eaten there before. We were persuaded to try the Wednesday night "all you can eat buffet" at 500dalasai and were amazed at how good the food was. So much so we ate there on 3 more occasions too. Give it a try, not the most appealing dining area but the foods good!Hi,I am so glad you enjoyed our food, especially our buffet night. We have been working on our new menu this season and are getting very positive feedback which is lovely for our chefs to see.

The previous positive reviews are 100% correct regarding this small restaurant situated on the busy main highway through Kololi. The restaurant has tables inside and outside in a small sectioned off part of the car park. This area has been tastefully laid out with large plants. The menu has selections of Gambian cuisine, steaks and fish dishes; there is a nice selection of starters and desserts. Cocktails are excellent and probably the best value in Kololi (200 dalasi or £3.30)The fish platter consisting of 4 various sorts of fish/shellfish was terrific at around 700 dalasi (£11), the lobster spring roll starters and lemon sole main course was very good at about the same price for both. Service is first class and swift. Loved it.

We ate at the Calypso four times and also visited for the live music on Sunday afternoon. If you are a guest at the Ocean Bay Hotel next door you will consider yourselves extremely fortunate to have such a fantastic restaurant on your doorstep. The food was delightful and the staff just lovely. Go once and I bet you'll go again.

After going for an evening meal I have to say I was extremely disappointed the staff were quite rude and the meal took ages to come .. this wasnât one of the great experiences of The Gambia for sure .. they need to remember itâs the smiling capital !

Captains Table is a restaurant, which is a little different than most, the food is well presented in an outdoor setting, not the hustle and bustle, a very peaceful quiet setting. Captains Table is part of The Bakotu Hotel

Located in a beautiful garden, Gida's Garden is described by most of our customers as one of the most charming and relaxing place to eat in the country. It also offers a cosy lounge area, for those wanting a drink before or after their meal and is one of
This is a lovely little restaurant. Set inside a compound with covered or open sitting areas amongst a pretty garden with colourful tablecloths/ napkins and pretty lighting. The food didn't disappoint either; a varied menu with the food freshly made and plentiful, our personal favourite was the Bang Bang Shrimps starter - amazing! Good house wine at a good price made for a really nice meal at a reasonable cost. Visited more than once as we were so impressed. Thank you very much for leaving a review Carole! Happy you enjoyed your experience at Gida's Garden:)

Established in 1995, Ngala Lodge restaurant has a well earned reputation for fine dining in a beautiful clifftop location. Popular with visitors and local residents, as well as our guests, booking is recommended from November to March. House specialities
We have been visiting NGala Lodge for 20 years and always think of it as a special place where everything is just perfect and all our family see it as a real treat. However it is most certainly not the place it was. We have seen various chefs, owners, management and front of house come and go and although the setting is still lovely nothing else is. None of the choices I made for my three courses were available and the ones I eventually settled for were disappointing. The fish I chose for my main course was over cooked and dry and the pudding inedible. The bill, for The Gambia, was expensive at almost £50 per head. By contrast we visited a tiny and very basic roadside cafe with a friend and had the most superb grilled and marinated gambas with a delightful and carefully prepared salad and home cooked chips followed by the best chocolate brownie I have ever eaten for under £8. NGala used to be a very special place, it no longer is .We are very sorry that your experience this time was not as it has been in the past. Quality supplies are our biggest problem, but that does not excuss us for the cooking standards. I am sorry.
