Enjoy our grilled meats cooked in front of you in the fireplace! Our map is large and lives to the rhythm of the seasons. It offers various grilling parts: beef, pork, poultry, fish ... All in a simple and warm atmosphere.
We stayed overnight in Saint Brice Sous Foret at the last minute and found ourselves faced with a choice of outlets in the vicinity. From the outside, the restaurant looked inviting and casual which was a major factor in our choice. The menu posted outside was easy to understand and decipher, despite my limited French!Once inside, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly then given a 'Welcome' appetiser. Our menus were swapped for English ones as soon as the staff noticed our difficulties with the traditional one and the staff spoke to us in English throughout, encouraging us to try our French! The food was grilled in front of us and was beautiful. Very impressed with everything about our experience here! :-)

Having the experience of Le Fouquetâs in Paris and as we were recommended to this restaurant, during our one week stay at the Hotel Barriere across the road we went to this restaurant on a Saturday night , were seated next to a six people table and ordered the best plate form the menu a Noye Boef to share as described with fries , and ordered an extra green salad , while waiting no bread was offered and the salad didnât come either. When the meat arrived it looked overcooked and it was presented sliced , we tried it anyhow but it was tasteless, soggy and hard to chew , we called the waiter and told him we couldnât eat it , and we ordered another plate , sole fish , the waiter went to the kitchen and when came back said the chef said it was good!we were surprised that the chef did not bother to come out of the kitchen at all. When the fish arrive we were already served by a different waiter and the fish was served with the same fries that were sent to the kitchen. While waiting the salad never arrived and we saw the people sitting next to us also sending plates back to the kitchen .We had the fish and as we finished we asked for the check and were PERPLEXED to see that they charged us for the meat too ! The meat that according to the chef was good ! BUT NEVER EATEN BY US .How do they choose a chef that doesnât even know how to cook a piece of meat ! Never seen something like this inLe Fouquetâs or any other restaurant! Diane,Thank you to share with us your experience in our restaurant Le Fouquet's.Sorry for the disappointment.Be sure that everything will be done in order that it never happens again.Best regards,La Direction du Fouquet's Enghien-les-Bains

Had dinner here. Good service, excellent food. Even though this place is listed as a seafood restaurant (oysters seemed to be popular), the chicken was one of the best I've ever had.

Bouffémont is a town of around 5,000 people located at the edge of the Forêt de Montmorency. After a morning's walk in the forest, my friends and I had lunch at La Ferme de Bouffémont before catching the train back to Paris. The restaurant is an old farmhouse and you enter into a spacious but somewhat spartan dining room flooded with daylight. The tables are set elegantly with linens and crystal. You can choose to order à la carte or from two prix-fixe menus at 25 [two courses] or 28 Euros [three courses].The very attentive water offered us appetizers of tarama and quail eggs en gelée to nibble while making our choices and made sure our wine glasses were always promptly refilled.Among the main courses we ordered were sea bass [in French it's called "bar"] and duckling [canette]. We ordered a bottle of red Côte du Rhône, which we considered somewhat pricy at 19 Euros. But it was good, as Côte du Rhône always is! My rule of thumb is that you can never go wrong with a Côte du Rhône.The food and service were excellent and made our lunch an enjoyable dining experience.

I had a most enjoyable 3-course lunch at this excellent restaurant which, due to the high quality of the cooking, rapidly fills up with local business types at lunch. I had an antipasto entree, Tagliata di manzo con carciofi croccanti, rucola e parmigiano - Tranche de bÅuf aux artichauts craquants, roquette et parmesana as the plat, and an excellent Italian cheese course to finish my meal. Their menu is large and covers everything from pizza, to fish, meat, and pasta. Their deserts are equally great, and their wine list is very large with an emphasis on Italian varieties They accept USA credit cards and getting here merely requires getting to the Enghien-les-Bains RER station, taking the 15M bus the the Mairie stop and walking up the street rue Carnot to the restaurant..

While my femme was creatively pre-occupied at a book- fair launch, i galloped eagerly to this wee market-style bistro near the 'oil-rig' of the Pompidou Centre. Galloped, because the creative fare of its owner Laurant Delcros, certainly knows how to bring his former posh-kitchen-know-how to add a pinch of audacity to classic French bistro dishes. ....... As well as , offering all his wines by the glass. Huge plus. Its the place itself that steals the show, being one big room with the kitchen stove out in the open against the wall. When i arrived, chef Laurant showed me the day's concoctions by lifting the pot-lids one at a time. Fresh baked cakes and pies dare you enticingly to leave tummy-space for them. I was seated in the middle of the floor at a rectangular table with seating inside of it, creating a perch, enabling my gaze to take-in the tremendous bric-a-brac that adds charm to the place: photos, art, clocks, statues, bookshelves, utensils... even guitars. There is also an epicerie where one can buy beer, wine ,cold cuts, fruits and salads. The table in the front window offers a nice view onto rue Montmorency and above, pots and hanging clocks create a mobile set to irregular times. I had a hearty lentils, chicken sausage stew with rice and veggies, the chicken fell off the bone and was dispatched post haste. The sausage, like all sausages in France is nice without a pedigree attached. Sometimes it pays, not to know, nes-pas?. Very satisfying meal, so i beckoned the enticing apple pie to join my waist-line. With two glasses of wine, i had under- spent my daily budget, probably by 120 Euros.
