Formerly known as Wildens, we rebranded as Weavers Restaurant in January 2017. Our Savoy-trained Head Chef, Neil Wilby, still heads up our excellent kitchen team. Weavers Restaurant offers high quality, freshly-cooked food in comfortable and relaxed surro
On the recommendation of friends (who came with us) we tried the Weavers restaurant. Hidden away at the back of the Bocking United Services Club, so ample parking, although first time visitors might struggle to locate. We were warmly met and shown to our table. Fresh flowers and polished tableware was a good start, we had the choice of a la cartel or a set menu from which you could choose one or two courses (ample choices, mist from a la carte menu) for a very good price. Specials of the day also available. With many choices on the set menu, we all opted for this and we weren't disappointed. Food was plentiful, absolutely delicious and well presented.I might just add, but certainly not a criticism, that the butter accompanying the homemade venison pate (yum!) could have been a little softer. As I said, that would be the only point to make in an otherwise delightful lunch. They aren't open everyday, so you would be wise to check and book, as I believe they can be - unsurprisingly - busy at weekends!

Opened in September 2016, El Pulpo is an authentic Spanish Restaurant & Tapas Bar located in Witham High Street.
Popped in after the England rugby match on Saturday for a bite to eat, unfortunately the kitchen had just closed however that didn't stop them as the guy at the bar took our order and promptly got it sorted for us which was fantastic service. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the bar with some nice food and a lovely bottle of red wine (Tempranillo). Definitely be back!

An impromptu Saturday lunchtime visit. The barn itself is stunningly lovely (if you like old timber buildings). The food was quite good. The service was a little slow perhaps, but there were some parties in the private rooms and I think serving staff were stretched, although they were unfailingly polite and helpful. We'll go back.

We are a small recently refurbished cafe and wine bar in the centre of the old town of Coggeshall. We serve a variety of breakfasts and light lunches made with fresh local produce. All of our food is made to order. In the evenings we open as a wine bar of
A very interesting building with large support beams that gives it a rustic feeling. The menus for breakfast and dinner looked interesting and would be worth a visit at a later date. I imagine it would get very busy later in the year. There is garden seating and a new covering is being built. A minor point is for staff to chat up the customers when they come to pay their bill. It may encourage them to come back.

Located in the charming market town of Coggeshall, ranfields Brasserie brings a metropolitan touch to the heart of Essex. The 16th century building was originally converted into a restaurant by restaurateur Peter Langan and now boasts a relaxed and welcom
Wedding anniversary lunch, prebooked. Dropped my wife outside as pouring with rain, went and parked. 10 minutes later she had not been greeted â staff were chatting with each other â had assumed my wife was part of a large party. No table decoration at all. Glass of champagne each â horrid taste and aftertaste [not charged]. White wine with the meal â inadequately chilled. Belly of pork â soggy âcrustâ, sent back, minuscule portion. My wifeâs duck was properly cooked, however. We have been coming to this restaurant since it was initially Langanâs, then Baumannâs, alwas good [except once when garlic bread was burnt â replaced]. Very disappointing after so many yearsâ acquaintance.

Our 1st visit to this venue. Didn't know it was there.Friends had attended a wedding previously, and suggested a group of us attend this Sunday Brunch Blues event. How lucky we were! The atmosphere was great, like-minded people enjoying the great American-themed BBQ; great service; great music from Robbie Gladwell and the band. The hosts were charming, working hard to ensure the day was as good as it could be. It was great.Going back for a Christmas Party night, and no doubt, will be booking into the restaurant sometime soon.
