Very impressed with succulent food, fresh, ample meals and very tasty. Excellent quality / price. Extremely friendly service. Atmosphere is very nice and decorated with taste. Sitting is either inside or under an exotic terrace. Definitely recommend.

I should have followed my instincts and ordered the lamb shanks, but instead opted to play entrecote roulette once more after being assured the meat was tender. Did I say tender? Well apart from not being rare as ordered, it came as medium, and like pretty well all entrecotes in France itâs cut pretty thinly. To say my steak was tough as old boots is an understatement, so for me a very disappointing meal.To be fair the other three people at our table said their steaks were fine and all were happy â¦â¦so perhaps it was just me, but either way it confirms my view that in general ordering steak in France is at best a hit and miss affair.Service was ok without being out of the ordinary and itâs hard to say it was good value given how disappointed I was with my meal.Charleville has lots of restaurants so next time Iâd try elsewhere.

Naff name, but good place to enjoy a cup of tea overlooking the beautiful 1606 Place Ducale, which provided the model of the Place des Vosges in Paris.

Nice little underground restaurant! Went there after consulting TripAdvisor.Arrived just after opening and we were helped by a friendly waiter. Choose a menu (prices are very reasonable) with a special. The starter, main and dessert were tasty and plentyful. Noted a lot of locals, always a good sign. Highly recommended!

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of other trip advisor users and had one of the best meals of our holidays, or any holiday. Also very reasonably priced. Service and ambience were very good, and restaurant was full. We ate in the bistro as the restaurant downstairs was closed but it didn't spoil the experience. Can't recommend highly enough!Thank you so much!

We went to this restaurant after reading TripAdvisor reviews and weren't disappointed. It's fairly small and tucked away in a corner of Place Ducale but the welcome and food were well worth it. Simple Mozzarella and Tomato starter but very tasty followed by Spaghetti for each of us with different sauces. All different but equally enjoyed. Fondant Chocolat with salted caramel great end to the meal.

It's a very cool decorated place with lots of tasty wines to choose from. I have returned there more than once. Although the food is not top notch, the tapas and cheese are just what you need for the combination with wine. Also, I would like to mention that the couple that run this place are super friendly and sociable. It's a pleasure to chat with them. Hello, Thank a lotsee you soon

It seems there's really little more to say when you have first class, helpful service wonderful food and good value but tis place deserves special mention. Located riverside it's got a charming ambience from the small but comfortable upstairs dining room. A warm welcome and unhurried service make for a very pleasant lunch. Two courses for 15 euro or three for 20 is extremely good value give the food quality. Even the bread was home made and very very good. The menu du jour of course changes daily we had the Jerusalem artichoke veloute with a seafood sauce and prawns that was fabulous. Our chicken main with celeriac puree, roasted potatoes with caramelised shallots and a hint of lemon and oven roasted vine tomatoes. For dessert I chose the salad of oranges with a caramel sauce, chocolate mousse quenelles and brandy crisp biscuit......Such a great meal no hesitation in recommending it and we'll return when the opportunity arises again.

Gare at Charleville.
Excellent food and a nice atmosphere. Spotlessly clean and you can watch the chef preparing the fresh food behind the counter. We thought the price was very good for a quality meal. We were very lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked and the restaurant was full within a few minutes. Best to reserve in advance.
