Loved this restaurant. The food quality is exceptional. A great risotto in squid ink which was so tasty I wanted to ask for a second helping. Service efficient and friendly. Just wonder how the staff can cook and serve such great food in what is in effect a very small restaurant. Excellent value quality price.

Went to this restaurant last night. Great location, just off the main streets of Cefalu old town but with enough hustle and bustle to keep you occupied. Luca is front of house and is very attentive but not overwhelming. Lucaâs wife is the chef, lovely family run set up! Luca went through some of the menu with us explaining some of the dishes and making some suggestions to us. (GF/Vegan can be catered for) There are some interesting dishes on the menu. We went for mussels to start, cooked in a lovely tomato sauce. We then had a mussel pasta dish, the pasta was so fresh, it was a very simple dish but the freshness and kick of spice was beautiful. My wife had a beef pasta bake, this was also lovely. She finished every bit (no Leftovers for me!) we then had an open style cannoli for desert. We thought it was reasonably priced for the quality of food. 1 starter, 2 pasta dishes, 1 desert, 2 large bottles of water, 500ml Red wine, 500ml of white. â¬60.....We were not rushed off of our table and had a very enjoyable 2 hour meal! In Cefalu for another 5 days so may go back to try some other dishes on the menu. Good job Luca

It was noontime in lovely Cefalu and we were half way through our tour here . The shaded stools on the sidewalk in front of this small great Enoteca were very tempting and inviting . We have decided to have here a "wine and Something break .Good decision . Good choice .The smiling welcoming hostess , was very helpful by calling (Speaking Italian) our next reserved accommodation of later that night in Taormina , and solved our arrival time at the hotel problem . Then , her charming partner , arrived with two cool white wine glasses (remembering to hand the fruitier one to my wife) , and a giant dish with a nice selection local cold cuts and cheeses and olives and whats not . Marvellous !!!And the price was OK too . Inside the Enoteca they have a wide and nice selection of local goodies , wine and spirits (look for the good Grrappa) . Yummy !!So , if you are in Cefalu , in need of a calm "wine and something" break - look for this charming place and nice people .

This restaurant is characterized by an a-typical contemporary Sicilian cuisine. However, it' is enriched by Northern European influences, which have been acquired by our chef during his various experiences abroad. Using fresh ingredients and in- season pr
If you want to have delicious food - visit this place!!! Elegant and simple, located in the center of the old city, but aside of the noise, friendly team. The price is high, but it deserves every single coin. We enjoyed: homemade pasta with urchins sous, fantastic octopus starter, red fish stake - highly recommended!

We were staying just down the road from this restaurant. We visited twice and we're not disappointed with the food. Seafood Pasta, Glazed Pork Rib, Rack of Lamb, all tasty and well presented. Wine list was expensive so we had water. Worth a visit

We had a nice meal and setting was good. Food was fine but nothing amazing. Service was quite slow but we weren't in a rush so that was ok. Asked for the wine list and was told the wine list was the shelf, obviously with no prices! We were sort of pushed into ordering a bottle of water but when the bill came the cost for the water was 22 Euros! The waiter (possibly owner) made out that he had pressed too many zeros but the costs were quite clearly programmed into the computer so felt like we were charged the 'tourist' cost for water! It was reduced to 2 Euros but left a bitter taste! We are Sorry you felt conned,The wine cost was Just inserted on the bill like It was water, so that on your bill there was no traces of wine.I guess in case we would have forgotten to charge on your bill the wine we should have felt like conned. We Just would like ti remark that asking ti guest about water It Is a basic part of the service, such as asking at the end for desserts. We feel very Sorry that in 2019 we have still ti listen to the classic " tourist" matter.......

A really wonderful trattoria, just as one would wish. The son of the family provides service, the mama cooks. My wife had delicious swordfish involtini, and I had lamb chops, both dishes excellent. A happy place.

After reading all of the excellent reviews for this place (and because Le Brace was fully booked) we decided to go here. From looking at the pictures on here and reviews, we thought it was going to be special, it wasn't. We went on a Thursday and we made a reservation. We arrived and were told we could choose from about 8 tables. We asked about the terrace and they said it was closed on weekdays. Great! I don't understand why sitting people on the terrace with the lovely views (that I didn't get to see) is such an issue on weekdays. We were therefore seated in the courtyard. We were brought a free glass of prosecco and some arancini. I am not a big fish lover so I ordered from the main menu instead of the tasting menu. My first course was pasta with mushrooms and bacon and it was really bland. I have eaten in Michelin Star restaurants and I have also eaten in many chains like Zizzi's and I honestly think the starters in Zizzi's are better (and they aren't great!). The main was much better, we had the lamb chops and they were cooked very well. We decided not to have a dessert. We were self catering so this was a treat for us and I wish we had gone somewhere else.

We went here because it was high on the TripAdvisor list, which was pushed by the restaurant. I had oriata, a grilled sea bass. It was grilled nicely and presented whole, along with a grilled eggplant and tomatoes. A potato puree came along for the ride. The fish came easily off the bone and was very flavorful. The grill taste was stronger than the fish taste. Sher had swordfish and eggplant over a homemade pasta. She liked hers (and I did, too.) The bread could have been a little fresher. A nice nero dâAvola with the dishes kept the Sicilian flavor. The complaints are small, but having so many good meals in Sicily has made us pickier. Service was excellent, with smiles and knowledge all around. An after dinner amaro completed the evening

We had lunch here for our 10 year anniversary. The staff congratulated us on arrival and also brought us a free glass of Prosecco! This really made us feel special and marked the occasion perfectly. The dishes were explained eloquently and the food most delicious. A welcome change to the usual menu choices with a level of presentation, creativity and quality not expected at this price point. Great service, great food, great price!
