Beautiful restaurant in a walled garden open in the evenings for rustic dinning. In the summer outside piano lounge on Saturday, Sunday and Monday evening
Location - convenient fun r La Manga residents.Atmosphere - rather pleasant outside until the ghastly sing along karaoke-esque got going later in the evening.Staff - greeted warmly on arrival and offered drinks pretty swiftly. Once at our table there were a number of delays throughout the meal interspersed with a flurry of â is everything all right Sirâ ...all very well meaning but a bit chaotic.Bill....two incorrect entries where we had another tables water and wine added to our bill...staff were all very apologetic and deducted them immediately ...smacks of a touch of early season chaos...nothing sinister. Once bill corrected pretty good value.Would we go again...probably but a shame about the âButlinsâ effect from over the hedge

My title is because when first arriving after difficulty in finding you will think "Oh I'm not sure about this one" but do go in and you will have a big surprise. The restaurant is very spacious, well decorated and clean. The waiters are excellent and the food is delicious. Not a sit down four course meal, but tapas, plate after plate, trying lots of different Spanish dishes. We were a party of six we had ample to eat, assorted drinks, 2bottles of wine, a jarra of sangria and a bill of 88 euros. Can't wait for my next visit.

After seeing the mainly good reviews of this place we decided on a lunchtime visit around 2pm. It looks perfectly ordinary, decor simple ( lots of twigs ), but comfortable. Seated, we were immediately offered drinks and a plate of breads with sobrasada. We ordered a few things to start and then a few more small platters off the tapas menu to continue. It was heavenly. The cauliflower and garlic croquettes were smooth and chewy with a lovely tang of garlic. The Chorizo Picante with oloroso wine was just so juicy and tasty there was barely enough bread to mop up the rich sauce. But the Patatas Bravas were simply the best we have had, with a bitter hot sauce. Heavenly. Sadly the Crayfish was not available ( to me this simply says that everything is fresh and if it ainât there it ainât there !), but the pork in beer and spring vegetables was so flavourful, along with a lovely mushroom plate and some Russian salad. A Cafe Bonbon made with the darkest strongest espresso I have had finished it off beautifully. After all that, two beers and two no alcohol beers, we were simply stunned that something so good could come to less than â¬25.Suffice to say we will be going back, this is real, good quality spanish food, ( the restaurant is full of locals, what more proof do you need ) with friendly and efficient service. Totally recommended.HelloThank you very much for the comment you have given us. It has really left us pleasantly surprised and very satisfiedWe peserve you soonA warm greeting from the entire team

First thing we ate here really late after turning up at 2250 in the hotel next door. After some very reasonable wine at â¬2 a glass we had a great pizza which filled us adequately. The next night after wandering the city we decided to walk back and enjoy another meal. My wife had the cod which was a little dry and hard bit very filling and i had the assortment of fish pieces. These came in a basket and were a tiny bit overfried with the tiny prawns being unpeeled and then fried instead of being peeled. Nice lumps of fish and two small full squid plus squid rings deep fried. I also had a nice basket of fries to accompany the fish and was lect feeling stuffed. And the fish was only â¬9.50. We also had breakfast there the last morning with toast but the toast came with finely chopped tomato like brushetta but wasnt that nice.

Went for lunch with friends. The restaurant is set in an old art nouveau palace, it really is beautiful. Two of us ordered from the menu of the day, and two from the a la carte. Everything we had was lovely, no complaints, and varied choices, Spanish and Japanese. The service was exemplary, friendly and knowledgeable. Slightly more expensive than a lot of places at lunch time, but worth every penny. Itâs now on our list of places to go.Thanks for your evaluation! We hope to see you soon

LA MARQUESITA RESTAURANTE, Located in the central Plaza Alcolea , is a very familiar restaurant, where you can enjoy a homemade mediterranean cuisine, also modern and innovative, that is made with high quality ingredients.
12 of us turned up without a booking. We were accommodated with our own specially made table within 10 minutes including seats for young children and babies. The service is absolutely superb. Definitely the best we have experienced in Spain. The food is absolutely amazing. A few of us had the four flavours of cod which was 10/10. By far the best fish I have ever had. Beef cheek in red wine was superb too-incredibly tender. The kids meals were also very good and surprisingly big. If you are in Cartegena, go here.

Simply unmissable.Situated a short way out from the city centre in an unassuming residential area (5 minutes walk from the huge El Cortes Ingles, you really should make the effort to visit. Some of the finest vegetarian and vegan meals, generous portion sizes. A little English is spoken by the staff, the menu does have English translations. Many different starters, mains and desserts, although we found the starters and mains more than plenty. You eally should try this place.

Every time we come to Cartagena, we visit this restaurant. This time, unfortunately, the score is 4. This, of course, is not entirely fair, because I compare the previous visit with the current one. If you compare this restaurant with others - it's more like 8 out of 10, while for others the maximum score is 5... Failed rice with quail, rice was dryish and uninteresting, and quail almost tasteless.I want more experiments and interesting tastes from the chef, most of all I liked gazpacho on a stick with fantastic olive oil.
