We happened upon this wonderful local place in Ortonova...all you want - great house wine, excellent pizza and selection of pizzas and more that I wish we could have tried....I had a pizza with mushrooms and truffle cream, excellent...and nice service. On top of that, the next day I realized I had left my wallet with all my cards, driver's license, money ... and went back to look for it and they saw me come in and came running with it - untouched, of course. Highly recommend the restaurant - and it's people!

E' il ristorante dell'omonimo bagno sul lungomare di Marina di Carrara
Food is excellent, good prices, good wine, very affordable. Linguine alla vongole is to die for as well as their tiramisu. The restaurant can improve a little in their waiter service, it takes a while for them to take your order. Other than that it is fabulous.

The food was excellent, the service superior and attentive, the suggested wine was perfect but the chocolate mouse I had was to die for.We sat outside and, as the restaurant is on a slightly sloping street, it felt a little strange (my dining partner was a little higher than me) but really an excellent choice that I made through TripAdvisor (having had a disastrous experience the night before in Sarzana with pot luck.)A little bit pricey, to be honest - but I'd go back tomorrow if only for the chocolate mouse!

We had an evening meal at the Venezia - I chose the large seafood starter, which came as a series of different plates, some nicer than others (had the option been available we would probably have rated this as a 3.5 star meal, but it would have seemed mean to give only three stars). Of the starters, the octopus in tomato sauce was particularly good. The portion sizes overall are large, so you need to be careful what you order. There's outdoor seating accessible through the restaurant - the night we were there this was a lot busier than indoors.

Locale situato nel centro storico di massa, accogliente, curato nei dettagli e romantico. Cucina ricercata, un mix tra tradizione e innovazione. Gestito da professionisti del settore.
After trying to find an open restaurant on a beautiful Tuesday evening and have your choice denied 3 times, I remembered KriKrokâs... we had passed by a couple of days before and I was enticed by the dishes on the table. Antonello (Toni) received us with grand smile and we new that this was the place. We started with a Frittata and the Vegetable Croquettes, both just delicious, but the anchovies, calamari and shrimps were just amazing and 100% fresh!!We followed with the gnocchi (absolutely homemade), risotto and hamburger... all again just perfect!I was the only one to try the secondi... the steak with truffle oil was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender!Again, whatever we tried all was perfect!Of course service was also perfect!

The restaurant is located in the heart of the Apuane Alps,in the main square of Colonnata. Our cuisine is a blend of culinary traditional and innovative and delicious flavors, such as the "ravioli with wild herbs" or "rabbit stuffed with lardo with sliced
Nice restaurant in the main square of the village.Good service and nice people although some of our party were well known to them, which helped.Selection of anitpasti were great, especially the Lardo which they get from a "special source", I was told. But it was the best lardo I've tasted. We had a couple of primi course which were very nice. I had lamb for a main course which is normally not done so well in Italy - this was not an exception to the rule, more's the pity. However, I tasted the rabbit which was subtle and very nice - done as a roll with herbs and lardo filling it.Wine was good (chosen by the restaurant). Overall cost around â¬40 per head which is not so bad.I would go there again but for the drive back along the twisty roads down to Carrara!

The brainchild of Chef Daniele Berti or better "artisan taste" as I like to call, comes the Steakburger Gourmet, an informal tradition and innovation come together in a harmonious embrace and the raw material is from the absolute protagonist. Careful sele
I went there with friends and although we didnt understand the menu, the chef was very friendly and greeted us. He walked us through the menu and recommended us burger and steak. We ordered inverse cheese burger, classic steak, baked potato and fries. It was all perfect! We are all happy and definitely coming back to try other burgers they have.Just the perfect place for burgers after DAYS of pizza and pasta.

This is a typical Greek Tavern with delicious food, especially fresh meat, good variety of appetizers and very good Uzo. The restaurant is family managed and the service is excellent. Location is perfect, few km from the city center. I would suggest you better make a reservation before jumping there, because you might risk to find the restaurant fully booked.

It is well worth the expensive cab ride into the hills above Massa. Il Trillo has a little parking lot, if you are an intrepid driver. Still, I would rather tackle the impressive wine list when someone else is responsible for getting me safely home or to my hotel. We all have our own standards and perspectives. I only rate 5 to 10% of my reviews as excellent and really look for those 1 to 2% of venues that I find to be nearly magical-like this one! Readers of my reviews should know by now that we cherish dining experiences that are truly exceptional and evidence of the pinnacle of culinary talent. One should respect the many chefs who daily turn out solid and well crafted dishes. But as with music and sports, only a few are either true originals or so talented that they can capture a brilliant variation on the tried and true recipes. Of course, a devotion to the very best ingredients, an assembly of a wait staff that cares and performs at a similar high level, and an ambiance and setting that cossets and inspires their guests helps staging the show. Il Trillo has them all in spades. Being able to dine outside under their flowers and lemon trees is splendid and memorable. The entire menu sounded tempting, but my wife and I both chose a lovely pumpkin soup with black truffles, tortellini filled with pears and pecorino cheese in a saffron sauce with pistachios and a masterful duck breast in a sangiovese reduction sauce. We went our separate ways on desserts, but my passion fruit semifreddo and chocolate with a garnish of berries was spectacular. From a local, I understand this restaurant started as a well liked but modest osteria. It appears to have grown in both stature and sophistication without losing the warmth and genuine hospitality that merits success. Perhaps too informal to rate a Michelin Star, the kitchen is performing at a level that deserves one.We are so glad we made the effort to get here. We will be back!
