Paying homage to the hotel's extensive history, the 3 AA Rosette restaurant takes its name from the original name established for the hotel in 1892. Modern European cuisine using the best regional produce is complemented by an exceptional wine list from c
Truly excellent food. The chef here cooks with creativity, care and we enjoyed every mouthful of the tasting menu. The wines were carefully matched and enhanced the courses. If you care about quality ingredients and you want your tastebuds to be both delighted and surprised this is the place for you. A meal to be savoured, discussed and remembered. Tom did an excellent job of engaging with us regarding the food and wine and the rest of the team were lovely as well. A Michelin star is definitely within reach-the food is already there.

I attended a business networking meeting here where the new Brazilian menu was offered and it was really good! The food was freshly made...I understand that they make everything in house and they definitely have someone in the kitchen who knows what they are doing. Service was friendly and efficient and I will definitely be back soon, for my Xmas party night!

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great
I like Cote and we use the chain reasonably regularly. But something is amiss at Cote Canterbury. Three of us ordered single course lunches. Olives, water and wine all appeared as they should. But after waiting an hour I asked what on earth had happened. Our lunches appeared about 10 minutes later and they were fine. I asked what had happened and didn't get an answer that made any sense. Management were duly apologetic but reading the TA reviews I realised that exactly the same thing had happened to someone else a fortnight before. That's not acceptable.

The ambience is great, the food is very tasty, itâs a little pricey (but it is in Canterbury) but the separation between foodstuffs is appalling. I can only assume this given my physiological reaction in the morning after having a vegetable kebab. This must have been cooked with the meat - I know the signs after 25 years as a vegetarian. The dishes labelled with the friendly âVâ cannot be trusted here. When dietary labelling is so much to the fore this restaurant needs to take its vegetarian food preparation seriously or not sell them as vegetarian friendly.Hello Chris,We;re sorry about your reaction and we can assure you that our staff are taking all necessary measures in this regard. Obviously as with any other restaurant this cannot always be fully achieved in a fast paced kitchen. Scientifically though you couldn't possibly have a physiological reaction to having molecular amounts of meat protein in your diet altough we might be wrong. We promise we will look into it and continue to improve.

The way that a restaurant approaches disappointed customers says a lot about levels of professionalism and care. I was one of a party of three who met up for dinner on a Wednesday evening at Chapmans of Canterbury and we all three ate mussels. This is not the first time I have eaten at Chapmans and I have always found the menu and staff in the restaurant very good. However, all three of us within 24 hours of our latest meal suffered the same unpleasant symptoms of suspected food poisoning. Such were the concerns and symptoms that the EHO inspector visited the restaurant. We were very impressed with EHO response and their visit at least confirmed that mussel source was clean and correct processes were in place. However, this of course does not address the issue that all three of us endured very nasty stomach bugs with identical symptoms within 24 hours of eating the same meal at Chapmans. I have now been trying for over 8 weeks to speak to the MD, who we understand is not based in Canterbury, to try and resolve things positively but despite repeated messages, he simply refuses to discuss the issue claiming in a text that his years of experience indicate that because we did not provide a sample(!) to prove or disprove our claim, he is wasting his time discussing this situation. I have waited to write about our experience since I wanted to give him the time and opportunity to respond and resolve the issue positively and give us a reason to return. However, reluctantly, at this point and after repeated ignored messages, I have no choice now but reluctantly submit this review. Our wonderful City of Canterbury deserves better and it is such a shame that this has happened after previous positive experiences.

This was my second visit, and I was as disappointed as I was in my first visit..in first visit we asked waitress to pack left over food...but after waiting for half an hour we found out she didnât understand us properly and food was thrown out. This time my girls ordered fish fingers and chips as kid meal, waitress brought scampi instead of fish fingers, after eating one my girls realised it is not fish fingers, It took us 20minute to get waitress back to our table...meanwhile my girls ate only chips...she admitted her mistake. By the time we already finished our food as very very small portion size...she asked if we still need finish fingers, we said no, but we r not going to pay for scampi as it wasnât ordered. She brought bill and cost of scampi was in bill, we called manager, he is the rudest person I ever seen on this earth...instead of apologising he said though it was mistake to give you scampi but ur girls ate whole meal....( though waitress told him they just ate chips, they tasted one scampi and rest were on plates).but he was so rude and wanted us to pay...finally he left our table in very rude way..we paid bill and decided not to visit Tulip again...

We went to Kathton House for the Summer Evening Tasting Menu and were not disappointed. The warm welcome was excellent. It was definitely fine dining but with an element of sophistication and ease combined. The staff were excellent in their delivery and the young man who provided the detailed information regarding the wines for each course was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and I even had Happy Birthday written in chocolate with some chocolate truffles. . Each course was simply delicious and we will be returning without a a doubt. Maybe we might use the accommodation next time in order to drink more of the fantastic wines on offer.

Authentic regional Italian restaurant
We managed to get in here at short notice early evening. The food was really tasty and nicely presented. A large hen party at another table rather dominated proceedings and made the atmosphere and service hard to judge, but the food was splendid and we would love to come back again.

Stayed here for three nights and ate in the restaurant every evening! Absolutely superb from start to finish. The rooms are top spec too. The staff couldn't do enough to ensure that our stay and meals were to the highest standard. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
