I visited hook & ladder for the first time at the weekend. Despite the staff being extremely busy - everyone we met still had a smile on their face and got us a table as soon as they could (we hadn't booked and didnt mind waiting). The menu had a wide selection and was very reasonably priced. We both had the full Irish breakfast and it was delicious and very plentiful. Our eyes were bigger than out bellies as we'd hoped to have coffee and one if their sweet treats after our brunch but we were too full after our full Irish. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.

During my recent trip to Ireland staying locally with my Family it was an easy decision as to where to eat on our first evening. Back to Russels to sample some more of there delicious food. Chicken Curry, Stir-Fry Chicken with all the trimmings was lovely. Service was friendly and efficient. A very enjoyable meal.
My wife and I had our late lunch here after going around cycling and walking at Cratloe forest park. It was a welcome sight to see a restaurant nearby and we are more than happy to say that the food was great. I had their chicken fajita and my wife had their steak sandwich. The service was great, we were being asked all the time on what else we need and if everything is ok. We'll definitely be back here every time we are in Cratloe. I was told this restaurant opened a couple of weeks back and I hope it stays open.

Spent 3 nights here and were pampered the entire time. Staff took care of every request. Make sure you attend the tea service at least once. Gluten free options available and delicious. Food was terrific. The bar, with the fireplace going was wonderful. Rooms are large, comfortable and modern.

The food was fine, a bit overpriced for what it is. The kitchen seemed a bit overwhelmed as our food came out at different times and not altogether. The staff were all very pleasant.

Stopped here for lunch. When we entered we sat at a table but when nobody approached us my wife went searching for menus and eventually found one on the bar counter.Meanwhile the servers continued to wander aimlessly around but eventually one of them took our order. The food was top class but when it came to paying we again could find nobody to provide the bill and I stood at the counter for some time and eventually succeeded in paying my bill. The food we had was excellent but I cannot remember when i have encountered the level of disinterest by staff.Such a pity.Dear vincent oThank you for your recent review, I am delighted to see that you enjoyed your meals with us during your recent visit.but i am disappointed to see that the service did not match the level of quality of the food and i will be addressing this with all members of Staff.Thank you again for your feedbackkind regardsJohn

Lovely place, really well appointed, ask for a booth. Building is a picture, with its thatched roof. Wonderful menu, delicately cooked with great tasting food. Specials were marvellous. Try the Rib surf and turf, not cheap at â¬40 but really good. Tempura prawns accompanying were stunning. I changed the potato for sweet potato fries which were excellent. Mussels starter was really good too. Pasta starter is a good choice as packed with taste but manageable portion. Go easy on the Guinness Bread and leave room. Malbec was dark and deep and good value at â¬32. No rush here and top service too. Dear MJGUKThank you for your great review. We are all delighted to see that you thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of your recent visit to Gallagher's from our Beautifully prepared fresh locally sourced food, Great Service and great wine Selection.I look forward to welcoming you back to Gallagher's again very soonKind RegardsJohn

We here at the Manor are all about good food, fresh produce and great customer service. We wouldn't pride ourselves on anything else.
3 of us had dinner on Thursday 20th June 2019 and it was outstanding. From the moment that we stepped through the door, we were greeted by Ciara and then by Jack- both with outstanding friendliness and efficiency. I had Pork Belly and black pudding, followed by Fillet of Cod and Mouth watering vanilla icecream. Noel ( owner), David ( GM) and Vicram ( Maitre'd) called to our table - many times- to see if we were pleased with our meal. Many thanks Noel, David, Ciara, Vicram, Jack and the Manor staff for an outstanding meal and service. Incidentally the restaurant was packed, thus indicating its popularity.

Absolutely delighted with the Glen Tavern. After suffering the truely awful O'Driscolls Bar on the other side of the river the day before, the Glen Tavern was a joy - everything you hope a traditional Irish pub should be... friendly helpful staff who were only too happy to put sport on the various screens around the pub, great food and that was well priced (and a good pint too) and pleasent fellow customers. For anyone drinking in the centre of Limerick City, I'd say give it a visitHi there wayoutsider, We are delighted to hear that we managed to turn your evening around for the better during your visit. Thank you so much for your lovely review and your recommendation of pub. We hope that next time you're around Limerick, you'll call in to see us again! Kind Regards, Ger.
