We were six and tried different plates from the today's special list. All very very good. Also the deserts were very good but unfortunately the cheese plate was not available.

...right at entrance of city center and being hosted in an old, but completely rebuilt Fachwerkhaus (old German style housing) where a tower is connected with a wooden bridge to main building. We have been sitting at this bridge with lovely weather, really a pleasure. Pleasure was as well our food, whereas service was average. Given price level and food quality, not to mention the great seating, we would definitely go back to this place in case we are in Wetzlar again!

This doesn't look anything special from the outside - slightly scruffy Biergarten, with tables and chairs, big umbrella/sunshade and atmospheric lights, but inside has good ambience, and friendly staff. We happened to hit a time when the Steinpilze - forest mushrooms - were on specials, and it was so worth paying extra for !! I had them in a sauce with some sort of noodly dumplings, my husband had the Schnitzel version. These were preceded by a shared salad, which came on 2 plates, and would have fed 4! (German portions are huge!)The best meal we'd had in Germany so far. With several drinks - beer, wine and water - it came to about â¬55, and was worth every penny.

The restaurant has a superb location, overlooking the cathedral square. Service was excellent, friendly and quick - which can not always be taken for granted in a tourist spot. The price was reasonable.
Every time I am for business in the area, this is the place I definitely go out for dinner. The meals are all excellent, but the portions are sometimes way too much, fitting for a very hungry man.

We went here just after Christmas and was delighted with the very comprehensive menu. Also for city prices not too expensive.

Sometimes you manage to find a restaurant or a hotel where the personnell exceeds all your expectations, and just without even trying to do so. Bootshaus is such a place. The fact that the owner is not a German might have something to do with it... There was a huge group of us, over twenty in total, mostly teenagers with everyone having a different dish every evening (we ate there several evenings in a row), paying it separately and not once did their smile fade. They really did all possible to make us feel as welcome as possible. Well, the food there was really good too - and that might also be because the owner was not German... Excellent fish, good pizza and nice variety of pasta that even a vegetarian had several opportunities to choose. So, should you ever happen to spend a day in Wetzlar, do not miss this place!

Sitting outside in the summer you can over look the lake. Inside you over look the indoor tennis courts. The service is good and the food plentiful. I have been here on several occasion and it is always frequented by the locals which is always a good sign. I always order a small salad for the main and eat part of my husbands pizza as they are always too large.

I am an American who has been living in Braunfels since 2003: Lika has been one of our favorite restaurants since I moved there! Charming and eclectic interiors match the delicious Croatian menu. The food is very good, fresh, and very tasty. We have tried many items on the menu, but love the "Grill Teller" as it allows one to sample a variety of traditionally prepared meats. If you are in Braunfels, this is definitely a place to try!

After a visit to Braunfels castle we stopped at Geranio's. Friendly service, linen, silver, impeccable food and breads which could have been a meal on its own. Not forgettingproperly served espressos. The owners just came back from a holiday to Italy, and we were surrounded by wellwishers. I did not expect such a large Italian colony in Braunfels D.F.H.H.
