We have tradicional portuguese snacks like chicken offal stew or cod fish fritters, and other things like cheese and typical portuguese smoked sausages boards, octopus and codfish salads and veal and roasted pork neck sandwichs.
The owner is very nice and welcoming. The menu is plentiful, focused mainly on tapas. But make no mistake, this is not Spanish food, it is an assortment of typically Portuguese snacks. We tried several different tapas (x5), had a great dessert (chocolate cake), and drank beer (x2), wine and coffee (x2) for â¬27. It's a steal, especially taking into account the quality of the food and service. I highly recommend it! But be careful not to miss it, as it is a small place next to a big shopping mall.

Situated just outside Braga, near the chapel of St. Frutuoso of Visigothic Montélios, this space is where the art of cooking and hospitality are always present. Restaurant with more than 30 years, a landmark in the city, bleached so original, presents an
While in Braga we decided to try Frutuoso based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! I have eaten bacalhau many different ways since my family is Portuguese but I have never eaten like this. It was delicious!!!! My husband had cabrito which he really enjoyed. The service was excellent. They made you feel at home. Thanks for a excellent meal! Thanks for the visit and for the words. Just had a dinner with a large group T Retrokitchen. We had several starters, all excellent. These were followed by steak and potatoes, rice and curried seafood, and duck. A group of 16 and every dish was perfect. Not a complaint in the group. Would come on my own without a second thought. Highly recommended if you are liking for something very good but perhaps not traditional Portugese.

This is one of the best restaurants in Braga. The food is just fantastic. The chef creates sensations with a twist. The atmosphere is family style and you are very well treated. It is recently opened. Go here and enjoy! You will not regret it.

Very cozy and comfortable environment with friendly and professional service. The chef served our delicious food. Simple ingredients of olive oil garlic and salt on a perfectly cooked filet mignon and little baked potatoes and side veggies. Delicious 2015 Douro wine "Duas Quintas". Delicious desert as well and Delta premium coffee. Yes...delicious indeed.

We went to Tabuas and Portuguese tapas were phenomenal - very competent and friendly team.Saquinhos de camarao (little baskets with shrimp - deep fried), montadinho de cavala fumada (light smoked white fish on top of red pepper and black toast), pork cheeks with grelos (seasonal greens), mini octopus seasoned with herbs and pimentoes were awesome.Worth the visit on a rainy night.Five stars!Kudos Tabuas!

The space, although a bit away from city center, welcomes you with its old furniture. They call "grandmother's table" to a big table for big groups in the center of the room. The "tapas" are delicious: mushrooms and chicken wings were our favourites, but the chef prepares over 10 different "tapas", and a delicious "amouse bouche" of aubergine. Good variety of wines with very good prices. Main dishes, we had the fantastic T-Bone (really good meat!) and the "Bacalhau", cod-fish "al dente": not too salty, not too cooked. But DO NOT miss the deserts, specially the chef's version of "Romeo and Juliette" and the "beijinhos" of passion fruit. They make it worth to pick the car and drive there! Thanks for your visit and your kind words. Hope to see you soon.

In this place you will taste authentic portugal dishes. Food very tasty and fresh, cooked by owner herself. Nice atmosphere is also a big plus! I highly recommend "Taberna do Lebre" to anyone interested in experiencing real Portugal. Definitely the best restaurant to visit in Braga region!

Kitchen Open from 12:30H to 15H and 18H to 22H. Homemade Italian Cousine, Mexican and USA BBQ. Family Restaurant, Bar.
I followed the herd after seeing the #1 rating on TripAdvisor in Braga and wandered down from my hotel. While my expectations were high they were well satisfied. Attentive yet not over bearing service. I was talked out of ordering a starter (a first for me!) because I ordered the ribs. Good call! Slow cooked for a day the meat fell off the bone. Highly recommended. Oh and the cheesecake was awesome and even though I didnât indulge they have a massive cocktail list also.

Not too much to be said about this place. It has a nicely decorated interior trending somewhere in the direction of in-style of nostalgia and offers a fair range of burgers, steak sandwiches, and beers. Food is good but not outstanding and fairly priced. Staff is friendly and attentive.
