We were interested in trying Le Cantou as it as it is described as a country manor house in the middle of the Toulouse Airport and Airbus complex. The write up could not be more descriptive as you drive into the parking area and are swallowed up by a beautiful green garden with a large ancient country manor home. The location is beautiful and other than the occasional airplane landing nearby, the ambiance was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and were able to communicate with us in both English and French and they actually tried to help improve our French when we spoke with them. The meal started with a very nice amuse bouchée, although my photo did not workout well. It was an Mousse de fois gras over a confiture du fraise. For our entrees Jo Ann had the Grilled Scallops, Cream of zucchÃnà with garlÃc, candied onions bell, sesame shortbread, fried chilli. For my entree I had the Grilled Quail Fillets, «focaccÃa», chorizo cream, roasted carrots, picked peppers and chocolate meat juices. Both entrees were outstanding. For our main plat Jo Ann had the Roasted Lamb, lentils with bacon, Smoked Burrata Cream, Green Beans wrapped with lardons, in a thyme juice. Her only âcomplaintâ was that the meat was somewhat over cooked for our tastes so it seemed a little dry. For my main plat I had the Stewed Veal Shank (at a low temperature), mashed potatoes with garlic confit, fresh vegetables in a red wine sauce. This was a very tasty meal. Our wine for the meal was a Demi bottle of Chateau Haut Gléon 2013. It was a nice afternoon wine although it was a little dry for Jo Ann.Dessert consisted of Strawberry Parfait, homemade strawberry ice cream with a mélange of fresh berries, Chantilly cream and strawberry sorbet for Jo Ann. My dessert was the Dessert du jour, a very flavorful fresh dessert with fresh melons and strawberries, a Meringue and speculoos ice cream. We followed this up with a wonderful expresso coffee, the restaurant offers four different brands ranging from a strong Brazilian expresso to a more mild lightly roasted coffee. We of course took the stronger flavored coffee.

Kitchen frank, simple but exclusively realized on the spot. Our cooks are qualified and work only with fresh products, delivered every day. Our welcome and our service are realized in restaurant by a young, professional and qualified team. An atmosphere o
We had a gorgeous lunch here today. I had mains only but it was more than enough. I had a salad with well dressed lettuce topped with crispy fried onions. It featured hard boiled eggs (that's 2 whole eggs), cherry tomatoes, magret du canard in slices, and an enormous portion of a delicious cheese. This was served with really crispy wholesome bread. My guest had another salad with chips as part of a menu. The lettuce just like mine. Hers came with beautiful freshly cooked tuna ( another enormous portion), some whole fresh sardines, crisp toast with tapenade. Both salads were served with a little dish of cooked peppers. My companions dessert was a cafe gourmand. This ardoise had a little dish of chocolate mint ice cream, a tiny delicious cheese cake in a glass, a dense dark chocolate disk about a centimetre thick ( I think it was flavoured with rum but not strongly) a speculous biscuit and a large cookie with hazelnut through it. We had sparklng water and one cafe creme. For all of that the bill was only â¬43. The service was unobtrusive but attentive and we were welcomed warmly as the first customers to arrive. In the 90mins the whole place filled with very happy customers. And we know well why.

At the first glance, the restaurant is a bit hard to identify since the name is written in very small letters. The restaurant shares the building and the name with shop for delicatesse food. The indoor space is quiet limited but the terrace seemed to be big. The service was quickly and friendly and the food very good. Just the coffee did not meet the expectations. Thanks for your coming, thanks for your smiling! and sorry for the coffee!

This restaurant is conveniently situated at a tram stop and close to the airport area. The owner has been working across the globe in top restaurants, and he added to his experience a typical French touch with a clear passion for top quality products. Cyril comes to your table and explains you the origin of the various colorful products on your plates, and has the same passion for pairing amazing tastes with amazing wines. You feel at home in his restaurant, A must go in Toulouse !

In a beautiful 19th century colonial style house, the Plazzotta family offers you an inventive cuisine, made from local fresh products. The restaurant Au Pois Gourmand welcomes you in an ideal location indoor, but also outdoors on a terrace along the Garo
Definitely a cut above the rest and priced accordingly - while not especially expensive at 28 euro for 3 courses, you get the amuse bouche to start and the food quality is really very good. There's and extensive wine list from all over the country and prices to suit most budgets as well as wines by the glass. Nice to have a choice of mineral waters too.The wine waiter especially effusive and helpful. It was a very busy day when we visited so staff had little time to linger but that's fine. The lunch menu was very good with 3 choices of entree and mains including a good slow cooked deer.

This is a good mixture of bar and restaurant. They have as well some tables outside, but unfortunately the street is very noisy. They have a daily menu with starters and main dishes. A 2 course menu is around 14 â¬, desert is 4 ⬠extra. Everything was tasty, the service very kind.

Second time I have been here, and the pizza and calzones are just incredible. Excellent service, menu, and beer and wine selection. Not a romantic place, but a nice quiet little place to eat, drink, and unwind from another day at the office.

The first review in English!I was encouraged to visit having read the other reviews written by locals. My wife and I were staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Express before flying next morning from Blagnac. We did not want to drive into town for dinner, La Cantine seemed an excellent choice and so it proved. The restaurant is very small with 25 or so covers, we had taken the precaution to book. The kitchen which is open to the restaurant seemed even smaller!. The one occupant, the owner chef somehow works miracles to produce the different dishes for the tables. This is not Michelin standard but very acceptable.' Not surprisingly the choice is very limited. The only downside is that I believe our dishes were kept warm under the lamp before server. The lunch time prix fixe menu seemed to be very good value.Nice to find a small well run entrepreneurial restaurant

Good welcome, good service, delicious food.We like the chef's approach also, just a few dishes on the menu but all prepared with fresh ingredients. So the menu changes regularly (according to the waiter - it was our first visit so we can't actually vouch for that!) On the evening we went the dishes has a mild oriental / asian twist - lovely. We'll go again. Well done to the chef and the front of house team.
