Référencé aux Tables Gourmandes, (guide des bonnes tables de la région). Le restaurant Le terminus coté gare vous propose une carte différente au fil des saisons.
Monica had heard about the restaurant via the local Tourism Office in Capestang, where we were staying. Our bike ride was lovely, on an old rail trail and we still managed to get lost after a wrong turnoff leaving Capestang! We arrived at our destination, and Lo and behold we thought all locals, a great sign, and all had settled in. It was Friday, and a beautiful day, so everyone was eating outside. We were seated and the only uncomfortable moment was the waiter explaining to use the scandal course of the day, which included tartare de cheval. I was puzzled until he mischievously translated for me, and my response was too loud for the confines. Other than that, the meal and wine was exceptional, and we ended up chatting to our nearby table companions from Ireland.A lovely lunch and a safe ride home. Highly recommend the ride and dine experience.Thank you

We met friends here for a few drinks and i have to say that it is a lovely venue. Perfect to sit and watch the goings on on the canal. Friendly staff and good service. We enjoyed our visit and will certainly return when we visit again.

Our first visit to this restaurant did not disappoint. The 13.90 menu du jour including wine had plenty of choices for main course and included roast chicken, marinated chicken brochette, pork curry and, for a small supplement, entrecote steak. All were freshly made and well presented, very typically French. The service was excellent and the house wines were extremely good. Parking is a little difficult. We wouldnt hesitate to return when in the area as it is such good value.

We recently stayed in Mirepeisset and ate here twice. This is a lovely location right next to the canal. The first time I had cassoulet and the second time I had steak. It's probably a bit more expensive that other local offerings and I thought the cassoulet probably was worth it and the steak not so much. Beer is good and wine is nice too. My wife and our friend had the 5 desserts tray and it was a bit weird.Service is traditional French - lackadaisical.

This was our first visit and having seen some mixed reviews we were a little apprehensive, but the setting was very pleasant, nice ambience and the menu looked reasonable.Have to say we had a very pleasant lunch......service was fine if a little distant, so could be a bit more engaging with customers but it was fine and so i'm being a bit picky. The wine list reasonably extensive with many choices very reasonable priced. Beers and wines by the glass well priced also. The menu again reasonably wide and varied with both a la carte and a series of set menus. The food we ordered ranged from king crab and avocado starters to mains of lamb cutlets, duck breast, tuna tataki style and sea bass...all well presented, fresh and well prepared - no complaints. Would we return? Yes definitely.

One of our favourite restaurants. Pleased with updated decoration inside which makes an even nicer ambiance. Thought food had improved and was told there is a new chef. Even better. Partner thought chocolate cake to die for. More reasons to find this place which is a little off the beaten track.

Located in a charming courtyard in the tiny village of Bize Minervois, Cafe du Midi serves a daily special prix fixe lunch. We enjoyed a pork chop with a lovely red pepper sauce, pommes frites, mixed vegetables, dessert and espresso for around 12 euros. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Let me start by confessing that we ate here twice this week, and not for lack of other places. Itâs simple country kitchen with outstanding ingredients and preparation. Eating outside on the terrace is living the life of Riley! The service is good, the portions quite large and the price very much in range. My sympathy goes out to the Belgian lady who runs the place. She took going out of the World Cup to the Poms gracefully.

Never have we been so disrespected in a restaurant. The server (owner?) was a tyrant. I would never recommend this place to anyoneâ¦even if the food is goodâ¦we didn't stay long enough to find out. Worst experience I have ever had in France.Bonjour Leanne,Firstly, let me explain what actually happened because in this age of social media, it is very easy to write a review on everything!!I found your husband walking out of our toilet with a wet face when I came out of our kitchen! I asked him if both of you wanted to have a meal with us and you said 'NO'! Our toilet is not a public toilet and is only for our guests. The minimum manners you could have is to ask if you can use our toilet but instead, what your husband did was just walked in to our restaurant, use our toilet, no Hello or Thank you and just walked out!! And to my amazing surprise, you wrote a review for us!!! I am not sure how things are done in Calgary, Canada but in France, there is a minimum of respect with a Bonjour and a Merci.

Stylish, seasonal Mediterranean cuisine by chef Valere Diochet . Our menu changes frequently to take advantage of the best seasonal local produce. A relaxed restaurant not molecular gastronomy or liveried staff. But super fresh Mediterranean dishes and br
Les carrasses is exactly that we were missing here in our region. Beautiful property, breathtaking views... modern and traditional at the same time. Most of the clients are anglophones, so the menue is friendly to international tastes. Possibility to drink at the bar, eat outside or inside. Menue changes often. We remarked that the food was of higher quality during the low season. Looks like the chief struggles to meet the high demand at the high season and not always gets a success in it.Two main negative points: the service and the price of wines. The service really needs to be improved. As for the prices of wines... well, guys, we know as well as you that we are in the region where the wines cost pea-nuts. So, we are quiet shocked not to find any single bottle on the wine list cheaper than 28 euros (+++). This only reduces the consolation. Apply the fare price (not multiplied by 5) and clients will order 2 bottles instead of one. Otherwise nice property, we will be back and advise our friends to go there.Hi Mary,Thanks very much for your review. We're glad you liked the Château so much, though we're sorry you didn't feel that the service was up to scratch on this occasion - we work hard to ensure excellent service at all times, and have brought your comments to the attention of the team. We're a bit surprised by your comments about the price of the wine though. We pride ourselves on showcasing the best of Languedoc wines at great value for money, with the wines starting at â¬19 for our own Les Carrasses cuvees; We have 35 different bottles at less than â¬28 (more than half the list!). Perhaps you were looking at the list of daily specials? In any case, we look forward to seeing you again at Les Carrasses, and the opportunity to show you some of the great, reasonably priced wines we offer. Thanks again for your review.
