Due to the beautiful weather we were able to enjoy dinner in the Biergarten. The traditional German food was excellently prepared and the service was nothing short of amazing. Two ladies with constant smiles and friendly words. The five star rating is due to the overall experience. This is not Michelin star food. It is honest german food perfectly prepared.When in Celle or surrounding it is worth to try this restaurant. Oh, and try there special dish at least as a starter. Very nice.

Very thin cakes with various fillings- Meat, fish, vegetables and fruit.We tried three different ones: one with blue cheese and ham, one with serrano ham and rocket salad, and shared one with raspberry. After a day in the bird park in Walsrode, we ended up in this restaurant. Very lovely and sunny biergarten. Extended menu with use of local ingredients. We chose the jager schnitzel with mushrooms, which was very tasty, with enough French fries and a crispy salad. Several (draft) beers to chose from. Although the service was a bit slow, the waitresses were most friendly and lovely (and we weren't in a hurry, so this wasn't a real issue for us). Reasonably priced.

Nice, easy-going hotel and restaurant in the countryside. Just a small trip from Bergen or Soltau to this rustic, 10-house (farm) village. In summertime some outside tables are available, but the inside "stube" and dining rooms are the normal place to eat. It's a little dated, but that doesn't influence the solid menu with seasonal extra's. For me it's been a solid menu of Hochzeitssuppe and a Forsterpfanne for years, and probably for years to come (when passing by).The place is being run by a nice family and coming here feels a little like coming home every time.

There were 6 couples, we were put into a side room which was lovely. The staff were very attentive and friendly our glasses were never empty.Food was excellent, slightly on the upper price market but well worth it. All 12 of us said how good the different meals were and we would all go back again.

We try to go out for dinner at least once a month and chose to visit here. We were welcomed and sat quickly and quietly and received our drinks and menu's without delay. The meal was absolutely superbly prepared and served. A fantastic experience and one which I am sure we will be repeating.

Ambiente, Service, Küchenleistung findet man hier auf einem unerwartet hohen Niveau bei moderaten Preisen. Die guten Hausgeister scheinen mit Liebe und viel Enthusiasmus ihren Job zu tun. Das ist der Eindruck, den wir bei unserem Besuch in diesem Restaurant gewonnen haben. Die umfangreiche Karte zeigt, was geboten wird, der Service bringt, was die Küche geleistet hat und der Gast genieÃt (zumindest in unserem Fall), was auf den Punkt gegart und in hoher Qualität angerichtet und serviert wurde. Ein echtes Gasthaus für zufriedene Gäste.

We went here on Valentine's Day for a lovely evening meal whilst visiting from England. Good service, english spoken, and the menu was extensive and bi-lingual. The quality of the food was very good indeed, we enjoyed everything we had. Try the garlic bread with cheese - nothing like the english version, but deliciously different!

On a wednesday afternoon in August we passed this very charming looking restaurant.We saw many cars standing in the courtyard, for us an indication that this is a good place to go.We parked the car, walked to the entrance and before we even could take a breathe a stressed waitress came to us, asking if we had reserved?Our reply was no, we have not. Then please leave immediately we are not taking any new orders. We could not even get a drink!!

Went without booking and regardless of the lack of people eating we were reluctantly given a tableThe female staff were good and the food excellent but they only accept German bank cards, nothing displayed to this effect.The whole experience was ruined by the rudeness, and obvious anti British, attitudeof the front of house male member of staffWill not return in a hurry
