Don't visit this place if you are looking for a romantic diner with good basic regionale food - too much white light - food seemed prepared fast or beforehand - only young wines availableWe would like to give you an answer at your notice. You were at the restaurant, for the "Beaujolais Nouveau" celebration, so you observed that the Beaujolais is a wine that can be drunk young. All our products are fresh, and all our makers are written at the beginning of the menu, it is a proof for the origin of products. All our dishes are homemade, with a preparation before the service, to enable our customers not expect too much at the table. The restaurant theme is a "Bouchon Lyonnais", and we don't have the ambition to develop the romantic diner ... .The direction

Approaching the premises one gets that "wow" effect. Typically Georges Blanc style. Yet that impression quickly vanishes once you get inside the restaurant. Still very "designed" but it's a huge hall, probably ideal for a wedding of 120+ guests. The "accueil" is far from professional. The amuses bouche are put in front of you without any explanation. The waiters team consisted of one quite professional lady, an elderly gentleman and two guys who had not much of an idea of what serving a good table meant. The tartare de saumon was ok, nothing special to say about the oeufs meuretttes. The ris de veau was so lala, just fried with not much taste and the accompanying jus? Well, do not remember what it tasted like. All this did not tempt us to have desserts. So in essence: not a good reference for the various tables claiming the Georges Blanc brand. Spoke with a few restaurateurs in the area about our experience and they politely but hesitantly somewhat agreed with our judgement. The place has potential though.

I have never used the word perfect in a review until now. For what it does the word is appropriate. It's in the Hameau of Morgon about 1km from Vullie-Morgon. It has street parking only. It's terrace looking onto the street had an excellent and colourful floral display. I'd not been before and checked out the menu displayed at the door to see if it was affordable. The various books it was in made me wonder but with menus starting at 21Euros tax and service included we went in. Immediately I saw it had won first prize in the best Beaujolais restaurant contest; it boded well and our expectations were met.Nothing was too much for the lady who we decided had to be the owner. We tried the terrace but found it too cool and returned inside. I thought from her smile that she had expected it but had not tried to impose. My dietary requirements were fully recognised with several returns from seeing the chef to check the contents in the recipes. And the menu at 21 Euros was delicious (I'd had a substitute from the next menu up as the entrees contained forbidden items - at no extra cost). There were no tourists just local French families and businessmen. Everybody was served in turn and rapidly. The decor was blue and white, clean and warming. The toilets were well equipped and maintained well worthy of winning a toilet prize. Don'y expect haute cuisine just good cooking of classic dishes with a Beaujolais bias. The deserts were home made and exemplary. Yes we three voted to come again.

We just keep coming back... Every time we introduce friends to this restaurant they also fall in love with it... Easter, Birthdays, Mothering Sunday all wonderful... Just an evening meal or Sunday lunch brilliant... Have a dietary need (our son is a coeliac) with advanced warning no problem. They look after us here, we are regulars and as the menu changes (with the seasons) we enjoy it more and more.

We had dinner at the Auberge de Corcelles on a Saturday evening, having previously discovered this chef when he was working at the restaurant in Emeringes. By the end of the meal, all six of us were unanimous: it was the best meal that any of us had had for a long time. Everything was freshly cooked to perfection, and we have nothing but praise for the chef. He uses different flavours and textures very skillfully, and each dish looked and tasted simply delicious. The service was professional, and there was a good choice of local Beaujolais wines.

Spaghetti with everything - you order a steak it comes with spaghetti in a tomato sauce, I don't know why they do this...It po-ports to be Italian - well it's got that wrong, we're not returning.

Some might find this hard to find and when you approach you might have doubts - but don't judge this book by its cover. The terrace is great in summer (although bring your sunglasses especially in the evening as the setting sun can be blinding!)The restaurant has 2 rooms and a bar that joins them, both are equally good and little to separate them, the larger room perhaps has more atmosphere. The menu has all the Beaujolais classics, for the younger and less adventurous it has a gourmet burger which my younger 2 like although this seems a waste of what is a very good kitchen. All is done with style the amuse-bouches always have an alternative feel and are a great start - some you wish you could have as a main plate. I've never been disappointed here.

The dining area can be quite big, catering to large groups like company dinners, marriages and the like. They seated us and the rest of the few hotel guests into a very cozy and intimate corner. The "cuisses de grenouilles" were succulant, the omble chevalier perfect, however the lobster under a crust of nuts was a bit heavy, too much. Service is perfect and friendly. We had a night cap in the bar afterwards and were the only ones.

We had been searching for a restaurant until after 15:00 and found nothing acceptable. We stopped at La Maison des Beaujolais to sample the wines. The were by far the best we found anywhere in Beaujolais and we bought more bottles than we had planned for that region. During the course of conversation we asked about a restaurant open at that time. Alas, none were, but she asked the chef if he could whip up something for us. He whipped up two plates of Cochonnailles that were absolutely delicious. We did our wine tasting accompanied by the special dish. Alas, it was our last day in Beaujolais and we could not return. It will certainly be our first stop the next time we visit or pass through.
