The Restaurant of the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees - Elegant - Gluten free - Reservations welcome.
Lovely dinner on the terrace with view of the lake. Excellent waiters. Wind knocked a wine glass over with small amount of wine. Waiter promptly filled it with prosecco. Lovely pasta. Also a dish with 4 pieces of different lake fish. Prices expensive but worth it. There was a daily 3 course menu for â¬56.

Restaurant in a boat of the year 50' furnished in modern style with dishes of local fish cuisine and Ossola valley.
We stopped for a late dinner at the "Il Battello del Golfo" restaurant which is a housed in a old lake boat moored before the city of Baveno on Lake Maggiore. The tables are spacious, the tableware and glasses very elegant, the service attentive. The menu is traditional italian. As a starter we both ordered raw jumbo shrips with fried leeks, truly spectacular. As a main course I had an excellent tuna steak with a vegetable ratatouille, and my wife ordered cod with red onions and polenta, which I tasted and found also very good. The wine list provides a more than adequate choice, and the prices are quite reasonable. In summary, a romantic restaurnat in an unusual setting with excellent food.

the restaurant "la ripa" have a beautiful view on the borromeo Islands.
We plummeted from our high hopes on the rocks of bad service and arrogance. The location is beautiful, romantic, faultless. Everyone arrived at once so it was a while before the waiter graced us with his presence but that was fine given the view. The food didn't take long. My daughter's prawn pasta was excellent my fish good but the accompanying salad not to my liking. However my wife's steak ordered medium was delivered on the overdone side of well done. We sent it back. The waiter looked angry - how dare we! We finished our meal and the steak arrived but this time they showed the steak to the grill and it ran away before they knocked it on the head and served it on a plate. My wife had a slice, I tried a slice but we can't eat raw meat. 20 minutes later he asked what was wrong and offered to cook it some more. Had it been 5 minutes or 10 maybe but we asked for the bill and asked for the steak to be removed. They didn't but took 5⬠off. We complained and the manager removed the steak but looked like she was sucking a whole lemon.

The restaurant is clean with a modern feel. It does have traditional vaulted ceilings. The restaurant is very popular. Reservations are recommended. The service was good. They have a large wine list. I had the grilled steak with baked potato. It was very good. They brought a glass globe with small sweets to end the meal.

Great food, a fantastic view of the lake, fast service and a great ambiance! Luca, the owner, treats every guest as if he knows them for years and makes sure everyone feels right a home. Definently the best restaurant you can find in feriolo!

What a magical setting looking straight down on the swans paddling Lake Maggiore, and the local church tower of the village of Feriolo di Baveno. Seafood Ravioli, Cesar salad with chicken were delicious. We purposely saved room for dessert, a bigne (cream puff) topped with blackberry coulis, and a fine tiramisu. Prices were very reasonable (4 Euros for glass o house wine and our service was very attentive. (Since we )were there early by Italian standards (7:15) on a Tuesday night, there was no wait for a lakefront table. Waiters spoke some English.)

The Restaurant "Cardini" is located in Someraro, on the hills of Stresa, and overlooks the Lake Maggiore with a charming view on the Borromeo Isles and the surrounding mountains. The restaurant has a large dining room with 70/80 seats and a terrace where
we out a lot, but when on a short break we rarely go back to the same place twice.great first meal.great second meal.the pasta with pears, and the lamb were standout. I would have preferred the lamb a little bit pink. but hey - it was great.it is a long way out of town. it took us 40 mins to walk there (up a steep hill) - but i guess that is what taxi's are for.lovely view. would be worth going for the view.oh and by that way it is great value for money

Dear Guests, the starting idea of this restaurant embodies one of the themes from the popular movie Amelie (Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain) directed by Jean Pierre Jeunet in 2001, that is to keep a curious eye on the world and take pleasure in the sim
This is a delightful, small (~8 tables) restaurant that is well off the beaten track, but well worth the trek. Glorious food, attentive, efficient, multi-lingual and friendly service. The chef takes pride in periodically coming front-of-house to greet the diners. If you are fastidious or constrained in what you eat then I suggest you check the menu before entering, as it is very limited. Happily, my wife and I are unpretentious and are adventurous when it comes to tasty, well prepared and presented food. We had no problems meeting our desires from the menu (including veal tartare, seafood ravioli, monkfish, tuna, cheesecake, panna-cotta).We were happy to pay ~170â¬; for a starter, a first course, two mains and two deserts, washed down with a bottle of reasonably priced champagne. There is a 5⬠p.p. cover charge, but you do get a bread basket that is varied, âmore-ishâ and abundant. If it is within your budget, DO NOT pass this charming restaurant by.

I have been hearing about this place for a few months now so we have decided to test it out. We had family sunday lunch with small birthday celebration. The menu was excellent offering good variety of dishes. Not too many dishes as I get suspicious whether products are fresh. It has offered a diverse choice suitable to all tastes and the products were certainly fresh and carefully selected. The wine choice was also very good (pity I was designated driver but my husband has indulged). The highlight was maialino dish; very tender and juicy. Compliments to the chef.We had three/four course meal at very reasonable price. Superior quality, lovely interior and super nice service. It was our first visit but certainly not the last. We loved it :-)Thank you! Sorry for my bad english but i desire to answer you. I wait you and your family to taste our specialities that change every month and the special menu for the event like next woman's day or Easter or to taste our new Young proposal IL GIROPASTA
