Restoring " the nice time " traditional cooking Menu in the course of season, menu of the country. Bienvenue vÄgétarien
The park containing the chateau and the Roc high above Bagnoles town centre is worth a visit, but the chateau is now the town hall and can't be entered. The Roc claims to give an overview of the the town but is surrounded by trees which heavily restrict the view.

Ate here on our first night in Bagnoles, it was opposite the hotel we were staying in, and looked busy and fun - which it was.Super views across the lake, and really good regional dishes

tonight arrived with friends to eat as the restaurant had been recommended. service started ok decided to have entree and plat . entrees all available but 50% of the plates not available after we had ordered. starters arrived all ok . then minimum 40 minute delay for plat . when it did arrive - asked for a rare steak waiter didn't know what steak was what and was told to cut in half to see how it had been cooked ! the chips must have been cooked and cooked again and then left to cool as they where cold . fish and chips - we where told the fish was cod both fish plates we had the fish was no bigger than a sardine . all the chips where cold and soggy . server tried to ignore the fact as we where English unfortunately for him must of the group spoke very good French as he tried to palm us off . we left our meals - paid for the entrees and left . not even an apology from the manager . I would say our friends who work local and stay in bagnoles will never use the restaurant again .Dear customersWe would like to appologise in the name of the staff and in my name, as manager. We totaly agree in the fact that the service was long that evening, has we have recently changed direction and have many new customers and few staff that night. We woukd be glad to show you our improuvements if ever you'd like to come and visit us in the futur. Meenwile, please accept our excuses, and be sure your comment will have a positif effect on our organisation. The manager

We were looking forward to eating at this Logis as we usually find that anywhere rated with 3 casseroles is extremely good. The restaurant is very attractive and comfortable and the service was attentive. The chef is obviously trying to modernise traditional Normandy dishes and this seems to lead to some unusual combinations. Foie Gras was paired with cheesecake - it was very pleasant but did not seem to be a good flavour mix - it also had sundried tomatoes on the plate.Tornedos of duck (not sure why its not called magret) was almost too tough to eat despite being rare which was disappointing. However the desserts were absolutely super. There are two set menus and an a la carte which basically had the same dishes so there was a fairly limited choice.

We have been dining in the area during our many visits over he past 20 years. Unfortunately, whilst the cleanliness and intimacy of gge small room was fine, it won't be on our revisit list. The lake view very dependant on your table. Food, well prepared was a little meagre and perhaps the time between courses was just a little long. The menu is a little limited and pricing was a little above a norm. Apologies to the proprietor but we will return to other establishments whilst also trying out other opportunities. Bonjour, "Not really for us" your title perfectly describes your opinion, indeed our restaurant can not be loved by everyone. Enjoy your visit to Normandy. Laurine & Kevin

Most restaurants on a main tourist street end of going for turn over instead of quality, this one hasnât itâs kept the quality and the food was great, service was quick and friendly and the decor and atmosphere is charming. Reasonably priced, give it a try.

This wasn't my first choice of restaurant but the Ist choice had stuck a Complet notice on the door...This one was full too but they made space for me. Smart contemporary interior which was matchedby the service. The food was good-though this is not a restaurant for my veggie friends. Short menu featuring traditional dishes and local produce simply cooked. I was driving so couldn't tipple which was a shame as the wine list featured Menetou Salon by Jean Teille-one of my favourites. The restaurant is set back from the lake so perhaps needs to try harder. I liked it and would recommend you give it a try.Oh thank you so much, very nice and hope to see you again.

We are here on a Wednesday night. Not having a reservation, we were welcomed and seated. The staff were really friendly and our eight year old son was well looked after. The selection of food was good, more French than we had encountered elsewhere. The menu and restaurant have a distinctive Savoyard flavour, with a range of tartiflettes. All was flavoursome and interesting. Service was good. It was most entertaining to listen to the difficulties an English family at the next table encountered in ordering. They ordered in English so I suspect that they may have menus translated to English. I would return if I were in the area but Bagnoles is a rather sedate place, even in August.

"This superb Michelin-starred restaurant is located in a former hunting lodge nestled on the edge of the Andaine forest. Le Manoir du Lys is a stylish, family-run hotel providing guests with an idyllic escape from city living, and Head Chef Franck Quinton
In general meals here are excellent though there is a certain lack of personality in the decor and the restaurant. Bright chartreuse walls are not particularly conducive to a relaxed mood. Duck was memorable, the chocolate dessert equally so and in general I greatly enjoyed the food.Thank you very much and hope to see you again.
