We had mixed tapas to start with: mushrooms, jalapeños, ham and bacon rolls. As main we tried the tenderloin and the chicken. Both tasted great! Service was good. We sat outside and enjoyed the small square view.

Nice location and fine atmosphere don't make a good restaurant. Kitchen is somehow original and maybe we selected plates too similar (difference between venisson and pork was difficult to get: both covered with same sauce). We saw a chateubriant which seem interesting, but eat the tapas selectionmenu' as adviiced. What was absolutelz unacceptable is the loooong service: 2hours to get main course and this with a restaurant still half empty and a child with us. Total disorganzation betweeen service and kitchen made the place more pretentious than worth. They did not even had the thought of a discont o say sorry for terrible long service...

I was invited to this restaurant to attend a raclette party. The location is not that great, as the restaurant sits right next to a busy road that leads out of town. Still, parking was available and it is a 10 minute walk from the main train and bus station, so not so bad.The interior decor is pretty basic. No great pieces of art handing on the walls, but the restaurant is well lit and clean, including the restrooms. I realize that waiting on a large table isn't easy, especially when all invitees have not arrived, so I must say the wait staff did pretty well. However, the restaurant was not full, so they were not overwhelmed. The waitress took our drinks order, and delivered them pretty quickly. Once the rest of the party arrived, the chef came out to set up the raclette. The waitresses spoke english, but he seemed to only speak German. I must say, while I found the raclette cheese very good, I found the accompaniments a little lacking. We were served boiled potatoes, and some pickled veggies. I can imagine that Raclette in a smaller group could be fun, but as we were only provided with two raclette machines, we enede up having to wait a bit in between servings. Overall, I still much prefer cheese fondue to raclette.I did not get a chance to look at the menu, as the raclette had been already arranged for our party, but I saw some dishes being delivered, and the food looked pretty good. We ordered some desserts, which were all ice creams. The quality of the ice cream was not the best, and I must say that we waited quite a while before the waitress brought them to us. It looked like the kitchen was trying to get the main course for another table out before getting to our desserts. While I can understand some time pressures, making people wait like we had to is never a good choice.Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was friendly, and, for the most part, efficient. However, given the prices in most restaurants in Switzerland, I'm not sure I would return to this particular restaurant, as it is a little out of the way for me.

Italienisches Restaurant und Pizzeria. Saisonale Spezialitäten. Schöne Gartenwirtschaft unter Bäumen
Business diner with other colleagues. Italian restaurant with italian style and italian waiters...The menù shows italian recipes, which indeed seems adapted to local tastes once the dish is on the table. The restaurant would be in the average, in taly, but here is of high quality. Prices are high, in line with the expensive switzerland. Some prices totally out of range, wine in particular. What to say, it's a recommended place if people is running dry of spaghetti...

I went with three friends to Grosser Alexander while staying in Baden. We had such an great meal. The risotto with prawns was so delicious! Desserts were likewise great, and I recommend the pistachio gelato. The whole night, we were very well cared for by the entire staff who were super friendly and helped with some translation questions we had. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Baden!Hello dear guest. Thank you very much for the nice words about our restaurant. That makes us happy.Best wishes from Baden and see you soon.Sandro, Walter & the Team.

We went for a late lunch at 13:15 (we actually closed them down, but they were very understanding about it) and ordered from both the Daily Specials menu and the main dinner menu, no problem. I had the Gambas a la Plancha with a green salad, a beer and a glass of chardonnay. The gambas were really prawns, of course -- I don't think the Spanish let any of their real gambas out of the country (I don't blame them) -- but fairly authentically prepared; the salad was ordinary for Switzerland, which means excellent by North American standards. Others had everything from BBQ spare ribs to several vegetarian dishes. All good, from their reports. This cozy little place is adjacent to the Bahnhof, so easy to enjoy for travelers. It helps if you understand German, but they will speak English cheerfully if you wish. It's medium-expensive by Swiss standards, which means "fine dining" prices for us Yanks & Canucks. They do take credit cards, which is not guaranteed everywhere in Switzerland.

This would not fall into being considered your typical Swiss or German influenced restaurant, it has a very relaxed atmosphere combined with a good menu and fine food. I would highly recommend reserving a table, we were fortunate to be squeezed in but it's clear this is a very popular choice amongst the locals.
