A more than 350 year old farmhouse renovated and maintained as a hotel, bar and restaurant, hidden away from the Costa del Sol. Lots of outside terrace, lovely dining with chimney, inside and outside bar, surrounded by nature and lovely view.
Went Sunday afternoon with friends who live in Spain, on recommendation, we were made to feel as if , oh ok then, will serve you food. Scruffy waiters, undercooked fish, just not welcomed. Will not go again.

Early evening meal with friends. The restaurant was busy and very lively. We had a table for 6 on the mezzanine level. A very warm welcome, throughout the evening the service was very good. The food, starters and mains was very good, try the stuffed pepper starter and the tournado rossini, both excellent. Good food, good service, lovely lively restaurant.En nombre de Restaurante la Higuera, Agradecemos su comentario y esperamos que vuelva a visitarnos pronto. Un placer saludarle.

Restaurang Sardina Alhaurin el Grande Spain
We stayed in the apartments above the restaurant so naturally we visited the restaurant a few times. The people who worked here were very patient with our limited Spanish. The tapas was delicious, as were the drinks and the main meals. Everything was a decent price. The outside sitting area is lovely and the aesthetic of the street really makes a difference when you are sat having dinner. Will definitely be returning when we come back to Alhaurin.

Called in here early one evening after a walk around the town. There's plenty of choice on the menu, our party selected various meals including the steaks, swordfish, mixed grill and strogonoff all of the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, we enjoyed it so much we called back in later in the week and the food was just as good. Highly recommended.

Spent the evening here with friends. The menu recommends three or four dishes per person which would come to around 30⬠a head. We ordered two dishes each to share between us. We ordered the prawn croquettes which turned out to be only one for 7â¬. The flavours were lovely but definitely not worth the money. Even the âmainâ courses were quite small. We werenât hungry as such when we left but not full either. Probably wonât go back as there are many other restaurants that offer better value.

We found this restaurant at Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. Fusion tapas food which was very tasty. Super friendly service, english spoken and very good prices too. Everyone was happy with the choice of having dinner in this restaurant. Favourites were the salmon tartare and the artichokes.

We are a bar & restaurant serving great value delicious food. We serve both South African, British & International dishes.
We stopped off for lunch having driven past on many occasions. Easy parking, good welcome albeit in English, shown to a table on the terrace and ordered a drink again all in English. We were surprised about this. We decided to have the menu of the day for 12â¬. We chose the mackerel salad to start and beef stew for main cooked in a small traditional pot called a Potjie. Just a few things missing, no bread with the meal but when we asked they provided it, no oil and vinegar but again was provided in small dishes and no olives on the table. I only mention this because if you go into any Spanish restaurant thatâs normally what they provide. The service was good and the staff friendly but we were a bit disappointed that it is all very English. The meals were very tasty and we both enjoyed the food very much.

After watching the De Los Reyes parade on Saturday 5th January four of us went to Las Anforas. Very warm welcome from the proprietor. A lovely old traditional restaurant with lots of atmosphere. The food was excellent, the pork knuckle was wonderful, the service of high standard. We will certainly return.
