The service in the restaurant is very slow. Maybe it is good for tapas but the meal in the restaurant was bad. The starters are small, the fish came on vegetable stew and a bottle of wine for £ 69. Very expensive.

We went for the tapas. Very original, interesting taste and good presentation. Also the bread was delicious. The restaurant is quite and with a very good views. The entry is a bit hidden. The service is very good and nice. The price was more expensive than other restaurant in the area but if you like original tapas, it's worth it to pay.

We came here as the reviews seemed ok. What a shocker. The menu looks ok, not stunning but an ok range of dishes - the service was none existent, one girl more interested in chatting at the bar. Visited here while stopping over for a night at a nearby hotel. Was hoping for really great tapas at a local bar a bit off the beaten track - food was actually very average and a little bland if very reasonable price. Not a bad place but wouldn't be rushing back.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor, with few reviews (none in English). It was a 30 minute walk from our hotel. The neighborhood looked questionable& the place was locked up. We were trying to have lunch around 1:45pm. We knocked on the door & they opened early for the 6 of us. The inside of the restaurant was magnificent! Beautiful decor. Certainly not what we expected. They fired up the grill, served us wine & bread, and the adventure began! Although they spoke no english, we are traveling with a techy who knows how to use her Iphone! She googled the menu & we ordered for the table; one salad, the house tortillos, grilled chicken, lamb chops & a fruit filled crepe for dessert. Everything was wonderful. They even have a nice lounge in the back where live music is played. We all wanted to go there in the evening, but didnt make the trip. I hope we stumble on more places like this on our Trip through Spain!

We were attracted by the positive review on trip advisor and decided to stop by for a pizza. I think I can honestly say we ate one of the worst pizzas ever. The base was pre-cooked and thick as a cracker, it was too salty; toppings were ok but with such a thin and not properly risen base, the overall result was really terrible. On a positive note, the waitress was very friendly and polite and the price was quite cheap. However, if it's a good meal that you're after, you'd better look elsewhere.

Algeciras doesn't have that many good options where to eat, but las duelas is one of the good places. The staff are really nice and helpful, they have good food options either tapas or plates. They have good salads, cheese, meat, octopus, we actually tried everything as we eat there once or twice a week.

Delicious Hummus con Olivada followed by a rare Entraña de Ternera. Great place to dine solo as busy atmosphere and pleasant, attentive staff make sure you don't feel alone. Enjoy an informal Spanish experience: you shouldn't be disappointed.

With algeciras as our âHOME away from homeâ for 9 days we started by visiting the this town first. Most people would not call it a charming town, but we are a little bit funny in that way so even in the most âuglyâ or forgotten towns we find some beauty or some interesting sites. After walking from the Corte engles (kind of shopping mall with free parking) to the plasma Alta and the old style covered fresh market we started to get a little thirsty and hungry. With TripAdvisor we saw that the no 1 ârestaurantâ was only 200m away. So the choice was fast made... bar la casita was a very authentic Spanish tapa bar... we were served with drinks encredibly fast and we also had to chose our tapas fast (they say Spanish people work slow, but I have never found this the case in the restaurant business ;). But the tapas were of good quality and taste and for only 13⬠(drinks included) we had enough âfuelâ to continue our walk about the town :)
