Based in the centre of Albalies a welcoming and refined placewhereyou can breathe the air of Hemingwayâsscenes, from Paris to Havana, from Florian to the Harris Bar, sipping drinks until2am or sampling typicaldishes and delicious snacks. This small parlou
We had two meals in this restaurant. The first evening it was really very good, with an excellent fresh tomato sauce on our pasta, which was cooked to perfection and a delicious tagliata. We were so impressed that we returned the next evening, only to be somewhat disappointed. They were very busy as it was a Friday evening, and the food was simply not as good. I wouldn't go back there to eat at the weekend, but there were plenty of Italians having a pre-dinner buffet and drinks (the aperitivo), which all looked very interesting. I would stick to that next time.

Right in the heart of town, seconds from the cathedral and the main attractions of beautiful Alba, Vincafe is good for families and visitors as well as there being an encouraging smattering of locals there too. The youngest enjoyed her tarjarin ragu, oldest liked his steak, and my veal milanese was good too, as was my wife's ravioli. Good prices and well worth a visit.

The restaurant I Castelli offers a traditional Piedmontese cuisine but interpreted with a modern twist. In autumn all the typical dishes are based on truffles exclusively from Alba. The wine list holds in store genuine surprises. If you like to enjoy even
We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and ate at the restaurant on our last night. We had an excellent meal. I had the risotto, which was delicious, and the chocolate pancake dessert which was beautifully presented and very tasty, although I would have preferred it if the pancakes were warmed rather than cold. The service and ambiance were very good. Would definitely eat here again if staying there. The hotel was also very good - very helpful staff. Nice comfortable seating area by reception which was great for late night drinks or coffee. The room was spacious and bright, with minimalist decor and a good bathroom.Dear Liza,we thank you for taking your time posting this review. Your comments are valuable........ we are happy to know that your stay was enjoyable. We look forward to see you again in the occasion of your next stay in Alba.Best RegardsMonica

Just five kilometers from Alba, up a winding, scenic road flanked by vine-covered hillsides, a foodies paradise awaits: Locanda del Pilone, where one can stop for lunch or dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant and stay for the night, in traditionally
Locanda del Pilone was recommended by friends from Verbania for Easter Lunch. We are happy we have followed the suggestion. The service is impeccable and friendly. Since you arrive, all the staff started looking after us with visible satisfaction. The Chefâs appetisers were beautifully handcrafted and full of flavours. We chose the Tartufo Nero Tasting Menu with the wine pairing. Excellent choice. We had the opportunity to meet the talented young Chef Federico Gallo, who kindly spent good time with us talking about his professional experience. We shall go back to spend a weekend in the Locanda.

This restaurant is located on the square close to the local cathedral with 2 options for seating an internal one with air condition and external on the square enclosed on a glass panel structure. The service was excellent in particular because it was quite busy a Tuesday night and they have 2 waitresses but amazing service. Food as well is simple but excellent. Wines very expensive for the names available with a limited cellar and no option for half bottle or home wine. The food is NOT good value for money

Gorgeous ambiance. Clean and modern with classic touches. Bread basket, although ostentatious, wasOutstanding. Amuse bouchée croquettes. Nice touch. Octopus salad. They say that octopus needs either two minutes or two hours to properly prepare. All I know is this was epic. There was almost no need to chew. Just tender and fresh with excellent texture and flavor. The bed of structured whipped potatoes and slow roasted peppers gave additional depth. Tajarin burro e tartufo. Wow. You just can't pass this up. We actually fought over this dish over who would get the last bite. Take my advice and DO NOT share this. Just order your own and savor every last truffle and homemade strand of tajarin noodle. Will not forget it. Brasato al barolo. In the states you would equate this to a slow braised short rib type of dish. This brasato shatters everything you thought you knew about slow braised beef. 100% silky, tender, flavorful tenderloin that literally flakes away with a fork. And zero grizzly or fatty parts. Accompaniment of purée potato and jus reduction. Truly amazing signature slow food experience. Braised veal. Thick cut boneless veal mouthwatering tender. Touch of flaked sea salt. Amazing mustard garnish. Again fighting for the last piece. You'll also enjoy reasonable prices on a library volume of world class wines both by bottle and glass. For me, the house Barbaresco was first class. You might find this location on Yelp as Osteria Italia, but that no longer exists. Ventuno has replaced it. They say it's better to be lucky than good. Luck paid off with the best slow food dining experience in Alba so far.

...Enoclub is a must. Very friendly people and even last year which wasn't a good year Luca was able to serve a good white truffle. This year for me again a very good meal, for my wife less good since Red Mullet is not really here taste and unfortunately the Tuna Tartar wasn't anymore on the menu. We spoiled ourselves with a 2010 Romirasco, a Barolo made by Aldo Conterno. As a main court I ordered the Tagleri with white truffle. Very good as usual. A good bottle of Wine, Pasta and saved white Truffel - what do you need more....

We preferred to sit outside but the only available seats were inside. We had wonderful attentive service. The gnocchi was marvelous made from purple potatoes. The plin ravioli was also great. Highly recommend.

I emphasis the word experience if you choose one of the tasting menus. And why wouldn't you if cacio e pepe on the ala carte menu is Euro 70!! Yes, you will spend Euro 700for two and you will be fascinated by the parade of small plates that are beautifully presented and delicious. Sure I wasn't a fan of a few of the 40+ items that came our way, however, the culinary ride you will be taken on is unforgettable. I often compare such an artistic and flavorful dining experience to buying expensive Broadway tickets. In a way, it's a bit of a show. However, a delicious one. The time and attention it must take to make the majority of the small plates has to be intense. Piazza Duomo is very similar to Blue Hill at Stone Barns in New York which only offers tastings - a bit of this and a bit of that of seasonal, flavorful items. I will mention just one dish - that is the salad made with 100 different garden items. Yes, you get an actual card with all the ingredients. The restaurant is not as formal as other top world restaurants and the decor was "interesting" - the corner wall nearest to me appeared to have to people in a sex position - but hey - did I mention it is an experience? The staff is attentive yet friendly. We were one of the last to leave and was happy to see Chef Crippa pop out to say hello. We were staying in Turin and trained it out. Note that Alba is a pretty place with lovely shops.
