After so many days of tapas, we wanted to try a normal restaurant. In winter the options around Carboneras are very limited, so we ended up at La QueserÃa.Location is not very good, as it's not in the main restaurant area. But the restaurant is very good, all the food was very good and the price was correct. Good for a change!

Set back from the sea front in a small plaza, this restaurant opens at different hours during the week. Closed Mondays and mix of lunch and evenings on other days. So best to check they are open rather than just turning up !!!!Lovely terrace in addition to inside dining. The fish is superb. Probably the best fish restaurant in Carboneras. Fish very fresh and good choice available. It is not gourmet food but excellent quality , presented simply.

Tried to go Sunday night, closed, the sign said closed Sunday night all day Monday, open Tuesday lunchtime, so we are only here 3 nights, go Tuesday lunchtime, new sign outside saying new hours only open Wednesdays to Sunday. We tried to book a table on telephone and email, for Tuesday lunch but nothing. The food must be alright because of the decent reviews, although the customer care is non existent. We are returning to this area in about 8 months I would love to sample some of the dishes advertised, if your open.

Restaurant on the Agua Amarga beach, great patio with tables and chairs in front of the beach under a centenary tree that offer its fresh shadow during the lunch time. Fabulous staff attentive and eager to help. Excellent food with freshly cooked local ingredients. Price is adequate.

Agua Amarga is a very beautiful bay, with 4 scenic restaurants lining the beach. There are also various other bars and restaurants scattered throughout the village. Bar La Hoya is on the other side of the main road, but has cheaper drinks and more traditional Spanish tapas and food.

Got there on a fall day Sat. afternoon. Pretty busy but not full. No system visible to get a seat. Wait staff for about 16 tables. Inquired about getting sat. What? They acted like we were imposing on their busy schedule and should leave. Well, not a ton of other option in AA at this time of day. So we waited it out. It was challenging. Finally got to order. Finally got our order of a platter of fried fish. It was fried fish. Wow.

We just wanted a light starters lunch and a beer. I chose the anchovies (this consisted on 2 anchovies stretched across a tablespoon of marinated red peppers...and my partner's tuna salad was a plate full of lettuce with a desertspoon of tuna! Simply not good enough. Yes, the setting and the open beach and seaview was to die for...however the feed was poor...and cost Eu.19.30. Go next door next time.

Good pizzas, nice atmosphere, friendly service, tables quite close together outside and cars pass by out of season. although peak summer months there's no traffic through the village. Brilliant cheesecake!

Were in Agua Amarga to get a little bit of Costa del Sol during our 2 week drive around Spain and perhaps see where the Ben Kingsley flick, Sexy Beast, from the early oughts was alleged filmed. Well, according to the NYC relocated owner, right up the street! And the next day I drove around I think I saw it but I can't be sure.Regardless, we were staying at a quiet resort a few KMs outside of town and ended up here for dinner. Great setting surrounding their outdoor pool-very romantic. Our starter of langostino puffs were tasty. My entree of a local fresh catch in a Greek based sauce and setting was somewhat bland-there was just something missing. And my wife did enjoy her seafood pasta entree-but again a bit reserved and underwhelming. In the end, I am guessing that they have a somewhat novice chef who is not ready to break out and go bold but I could be wrong.

Estamos abierto todos los dias medio dia y noche, para disfrutar de una comida en un cuadro relajante.lo todo a buen precios
Some of our party having visited prior to the restaurant were warmly greeted, setting the welcoming tone for the meal. We sat outside on a beautiful day, thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere; pretty situation and attentive service. The menu offered plenty of choice for meat and fish eaters. This is not a cheap restaurant but the food was very tasty and well presented. The Raf tomatoes and anchovy starter is to be recommended. One plate easily serves two people. Do ask about the fish of the day which extends the menu further. On the day we visited Amberjack was on offer: quite a meaty fish simply served with small chips. Perhaps vegetables or salad would have added to the dish. The steak ordered was cooked to perfection. For dessert the brownie is in fact a gorgeous chocolate fondant, beautifully served with chocolate dipped physalis and ice cream. What a treat. The bill is expensive for Spain but we thoroughly enjoyed our service and eating experience.
