It's like a street food joint....with a small kitchen and most of the seating outdoors. It's a couple of blocks inland (off the main street where most of the "nicer" restaurants are). The food is excellent, fresh and cheap. ($15 for a pair of lobster tail
We're street food lovers. We go out of our way, no matter where in the world we are, to find the best street food and try it.From our research, K.F. William should have been that place in Puerto Ayora. Sadly it really wasn't that great. The food was basic, not overly tasty or appealing. We were served by a grumpy old woman. We heard the coconut shrimp was THE dish to have, so we all ordered it. Maybe we were expecting more from our time in SE Asia recently, but it was bland and lacking the POP we were hoping for and expecting. The place is situated amongst Los Kioskos, a collection of food stands on the same stretch of street. Now you have to understand that Los Kioskos are targeting tourists and serving "tourist food" (food that appears to be local and authentic but is actually a guess at what the tourist wants to eat) and charging tourist prices. To me it seemed that every one of the Los Kioskos restaurants serves the EXACT SAME thing. There is next-to-no variety. There may be differences in quality between shops but nobody is selling anything unique. If you're on the hunt for GOOD street food, there's a tiny little LOCAL street food market right beside the Municipal Market at the corner of Calle 55 and Avenida Gral Rodriguez Lara. There are a few empanada shops selling the best empanadas I've EVER had. (beware the stall that sells something that looks like sausage is actually selling intestines).

In Lo&Lo we have combined the delicious flavours of the Ecuadorian cuisine with selected high quality products and a variety of fresh sea food from the Galapagos Islands. The green plantain is the universal ingredient of our culinary art, it is the base o
What great fortune that we stumbled on this restaurant! We had already gone to some of the top-ranked restaurants on TripAdvisor, some of which were good, and others not so good. So Lo y Lo was a great surprise when we ate there and had our favorite dinner of our entire 8 days in the Galapagos! We had great Ecuadorean food: the pescado encocado - fish in an absolutely delicious coconut sauce, with fantastic patacones (plantains); as well as a ceviche, and tasty maracuya (passion fruit) juice drink, which tasted like drinking a sorbet. We went back for a breakfast later in the trip, which was just OK. But for dinner, this was our favorite meal!

It's always safe to order the fish that they have lying in front of the stalls. I ordered the octopus once and was convinced that it wasn't fresh. Some of the guys working there can also be quite rude. But reasonable prices for the Galapagos.

I stopped in here for an afternoon beer, having just eaten lunch up the street, I didn't eat, but did drink a beer here. Really nice local place, beautiful flowers along the roof of the building, nice folks. While I didn't eat, I did have a chance to see some of the plates being served. Their presentation was nice and the smell made me wish I hadn't already eaten! I will likely be back!

Ocean view restaurant, sustainability is an important aspect of managing any business, especially in the Galapagos Islands. Over 80% of All Products are acquired on Santa Cruz, the same island where both Red Mangrove and Almar by Isla Grill are located. T
