The PURE! Countryside Bicycle tour is a social business initiative from the Pure Dream Centre, aimed to support local families in the Kandek community and call attention to the real Cambodian life in the countryside. The tour takes about half a day and starts at our shop in the centre of Siem Reap. There, you will meet our local English speaking tour guide and start your way to the countryside. Along the way, you will visit a monastery; a local market and a few families will show you their handicrafts, so you get to experience local Cambodian life. It’s a laid back ride, although the roads can be dusty and bumpy. The Pure dream Centre endeavours to achieve brighter future prospects for underprivileged children by providing them with quality education and care, while supporting their families through social and income generating programs to improve the children’s situation at home.

Hello! My name is Ouchan Thy (or Thy, for short), I am a Siem Reap local and I run my own small business as a private tour guide/driver. I have been showing locals and foreigners around my beautiful country for many years. As well as my fantastic Temple Tours, I run City Tours, where you can visit the local markets, shop at local artisan stores, see the sacred Buddhist temples, and sample the tastiest Khmer restaurant food. I also run an Eco Tour, where you can journey to see the daily life of traditional floating villages, visit the Kbal Spean waterfall, and take part in bird watching at Prek Toal. If you go to my website, you will see I have set one, two and three day tours as well as many different day trips out of Siem Reap. For transport, I have an air-conditioned and seat-belt fitted van, so you can cool down after trekking around in the heat! I would love to customize any of these tours to suit your needs and what you want to see Cambodia! I will have the chance to share my knowledge of Cambodian history and architecture with you on all my tours. I enjoy taking travellers to the famous sights of Siem Reap, but I also believe it is important to visit the quieter, more local places off the beaten path - I know of many fantastic places that I can't wait to show you.

Our Ox Cart Adventures tours provide you with the opportunity to get a glimpse of the traditional way of life in Cambodia, learn about our culture and enjoy the company of friendly local villagers. Only a short trip (7km) from Siem Reap, Chreav village is a traditional and poor community situated in picturesque rice fields and surroundings. The villagers mainly rely on fishing and farming for survival. As we meander along small tracks through the village on an ox cart one of our professional guides will explain about the way of life in the village and Cambodian Culture. Through our tours we assist the local community by providing jobs and development support for the people most in need. The traditional ox cart has been an important feature in Cambodian culture for hundreds of years. By using these carts for our tours we also aim to stop them from disappearing and retain them in our culture. Contact us now to find out about the different tours and times we have available.
